To my giftee, @mertensia, enjoy this gift I give you. A mostly Legend fic, I have no clue how it became this, but I can say that it goes through a large variety of genres!

Legend stared at the water that surrounded the tiny island of Wind’s era. He hated the salty smell and the cool ocean breeze as it whispered to him. It reminded Legend too much of Marin. The seagulls called from where they circled, eyes sharp in a search of food. They called out to each other in the roaring wind, reminding them of their search.
A huge flock of seagulls in particular circled around an open area further away from the island. Legend narrowed his eyes, blinking wildly. Legend thought he had seen something moving under that big flock of seagulls, but if something was there, it was gone now.
Legend had pushed himself up, getting to stand as everyone around him started to do the same. The only one not moving much being Four, as switches always seemed to affect Four badly. Four still gave a weak thumbs up from where he laid face down in the grass.
“We’re in my era!” Wind excitedly called. “Although, I think we are on Diamond Steppe island though, so I doubt we’ll get on a ship before the next switch. There was also a big octo on this island! I wonder if it’s still there after I killed it…” Wind trailed off thinking.
“So, we’re stuck on an island with no way off?” Time asked, crossing his arms and looking at Wind with his only good eye.
Wind nodded somehow enthusiastically. “Yep!”
“Why the fuck are you so energetic at the thought of us being stranded on an island?!” Legend glared at where Wind was practically vibrating.
“Wow vet, you’re a bit grouchy today.” Warriors noticed, smirking at Legend from the corner of Legend’s eyes.
“Yes. Don’t talk to me today pretty boy, or we’ll see if you are waterproof and can swim.”
“Don’t fight, this isn’t the biggest of islands.” Twilight spoke up, glancing between Legend and Warriors.
Sky glanced at Legend from where he was helping Four to sitting. Four stared at Legend with a neutral expression, unreadable even to Legend.
It’s kind of scary how deadpan Four is sometimes. It’s almost always hard to read his expressions.. Legend’s mind mused for not the first time.
Legend glanced around the island. He noticed that it had some very steep cliffs with waterfalls falling down. A few palm trees dotted the cliffs and the land, and a large pool of water sat at the bottom, just a few steps away from Legend in the center of the island. Tall cliffs separated the island from the ocean. Flowers danced to a tune that the wind sang.
“Well, fuck.” Legend muttered, noting how there was literally no way to separate himself from the rest of the chain. A joke which Four had originally suggested amused, but somehow stuck with the other heroes.
“Hey, vet.” Sky’s voice startled Legend out of his trance, and he snapped his gaze to the sleepy hero.
“Oh, hey Sky.” Legend groaned, rubbing his eyes in a hopeless attempt to get the sun out.
Sky smiled at Legend as Legend turned back to the high cliffs of the island. He started to walk towards the lake, moving to sit on the lake’s shore. He heard Sky move to sit next to him. Wild immediately ran over to the cliff to start climbing, Wind yelling at Wild to come back down. Something about a very bad hole being at the top..? Legend couldn’t hear it through the wind.
The sky was mostly clear with patches of clouds floating through, until they vanished over the horizon off into the distance over the endless ocean.
Legend really hated Wind’s era sometimes. As Legend stared at the lake, he could almost imagine that he was just in another link’s era, but the smell and noise brought him back.
Legend could tell that he was giving off ‘don’t talk to me’ vibes, as the other heroes settled down further away. In a grassy patch underneath a few trees. Only Sky sat next to Legend, with Hyrule picking flowers and Four casting a glance at Legend.
“So, I’ve noticed you don’t particularly like Wind’s era. Is it because of the ocean?” Sky asked carefully, looking at Legend curiously.
“Yeah, sure. I’m not a big fan of water.” Legend said in a monotone voice as he stared at the lake.
“Do, do you want to talk about something?” Sky asked again.
Legend blinked, glancing at Sky who had returned to look at the lake. “Like what?”
Sky shrugged. “Anything really. Happy memories? Funny stuff that happened on your adventures? Things you like? You’re always so vague about them. Almost Time or Four level of vague.”
“Did I hear my name mentioned?”
“WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU COME FROM FOUR?!” Legend jerked back at the sudden appearance of the shortest hero. Four merely smirked slightly at Legend’s reaction.
“I have my ways. Anyways, I’ve wandered over to question why Legend looks like he was going to murder the next hylian who talked to him.” Four shrugged.
“And you still came over willingly to talk to Legend?” Sky asked, turning to look at Four.
Four nodded. “I mean, I got nothing else to do. Plus I feel better from the switch already, oh and Warriors was being annoying.” Four moved to sit on Legend’s other side, muttering a ‘scoot over Legend’ as he sat down.
Legend stared at him. “I don’t have a murderous expression.”
“Yeah you totally do, your eyes narrow and your eyebrows pitch together. You frown slightly and stare blankly.” Four explained, saying it as if it was public knowledge.
Sky snickered as Legend stared at Four unable to form words to fight back.
“So, anyways. Before I interrupted you, what were you and Sky talking about?” Four inquired, inclining his head at a slight angle. (It reminded Legend of puppies or even Wolfie. Comparing Four to a puppy would definitely end up in him getting his kneecaps kicked hard, so he decided not to say that thought out loud.)
“Well, I was asking if Legend wanted to talk about any happy memories or good things that happened from his adventures in order to take his mind off of being in the middle of the ocean.” Sky gestured around at the island at the word ‘ocean’.
“Happy memories? From adventures..?” Legend blinked at Sky. “Adventure’s aren’t supposed to be fun.”
“Well, I mean everyone has to have some good moments. Like for me, it was reuniting with Sun again.” Sky smiled his dopey in love smile at the mention of Sun. “I spent most of my adventure looking for her.”
Four nodded. “I found a family and friends which I could never forget. Even if there were some bittersweet moments.”
Legend blinked at the two of them. He turned to the lake again, scratching his neck in thought.
“I guess a good time was meeting a friend of mine. She was wonderful and amazing. I miss her.. Ravio maybe? He’s an annoyance to deal with, but I guess I would consider him a friend.”
“See, everyone has some good moments in their life.” Sky grinned.
“Speaking of Sun, do you have any relationships Legend?” Four asked suddenly.
Legend turned to Four at the unexpected question. “Where did that come from Smithy? Got someone on your mind?” He added the sarcastic comment.
Four shrugged. “I mean, I had a friend I knew, but no relationships for me. I remembered my friend and I just thought of that question. Plus, you have like a bajillion rings. Surely not all are from dungeons.” “You underestimate how many dungeons gave me rings.”
“Oh Hylia.”
Legend chuckled at Four’s face. “No, most of them are from dungeons though. Plus, I have some many more in my bag. But this one,” He held up his hand, pointing to a plain, silver ring. Small patterns that made it look like leaves curled inwards to a simple flower. “I made this. It was in memory of one of my friends..” Legend looked at the ring sadly.
“Okay, now you’re sad again. This is supposed to be a bonding moment!” Sky gently shoved Legend affectionately.
Legend grinned at Sky. “Have I ever told you about my ability to turn into a painting?”
Both Sky and Four visibly paused, doing a double take.
“I’m sorry, what?” Sky blinked at Legend. Four hummed, staring at Legend in hopes of him continuing.
Legend chuckled. “And that is all I’m going to say.” He grinned at Sky’s expression.
“I’m so proud of you Legend.” Four wiped away fake tears. “You’re vagueness is beautiful.”
Sky whipped his head to Four. “Why are you encouraging this?!”
Legend laughed, Four even joining in. Sky chuckled at their laughter.
“Okay but I was seriously a painting once.” Four shrugged. “I mean, I’ve seen the world being as small as a mouse and fought a giant sphere with a single big eye. I can see that happening to one of us.” Sky stared at Four. “I would’ve marked down one of my weirdest experiences would’ve been being able to sit on a bench and get healed, but now I’m really questioning things.”
Legend smirked. “I also was once on the run from soldiers.”
Four blinked at Legend. “Oh, so that’s why I saw a bunch of ‘wanted’ posters of you.”
Legend shook his head sadly. “They never can get my face right. Especially my nose.”
“One time Fi told me to ‘charge my wii batteries’, whatever that means..”
Legend blinked at Sky.
Sky shrugged. “My reaction entirely.”
Four chuckled quietly, as if he was sharing a secret with himself.
Legend hummed a moment, going through his memories to find any strange occurrences he had found himself in.
A comfortable silence fell as Legend tried to remember his adventures. He glanced at Four, his eyes instinctively moving to the Four Sword.
“I once had to team up with me, myself and I to fight in a kingdom who only cares about fashion. The only reason why I was there was because a princess was cursed to wear something ‘ugly’.” Legend recalled.
“Sounds familiar.” Four mused quietly.
Sky smiled, his eyes never leaving the small fish that danced in the clear water.
Silence fell again, only being broken by Twilight’s shout of WILD! DON’T DO THAT!’ and Wild’s response of ‘I can do whatever he wanted, thank you very much’ from where he sat at the edge of the cliff. Legend rolled his eyes at the (unfortunately) common occurrence.
Legend heard heavy feet falling behind him and turned. Meeting the gaze of Time as he looked at the heroes with his good eye. “I once fought the moon.”
Four turned to look at Time. “It’s kind of impressive how you can say that with such a deadpan expression.”
Time shrugged. “Well, I’ve come to tell you that Wild is cooking.”
“Great. I’m starving.” Legend stood up and stretched. He blinked, noticing at the sudden darkness that had appeared. Dark, stormy clouds drifted along the sky, different then how it was when they had first arrived. Legend also noticed the lack of noise, even the wind had calmed down to a quiet hum.
I forgot we were even on an island.. Legend blinked at the revelation.
“Had it always been this stormy looking?” Four asked, voicing Legend’s own thoughts out loud.
Time glanced up. “No, and it has only been getting worse. Wind thinks it might be a storm, but a storm doesn’t happen this fast.”
Sky frowned. “This storm is giving me a strange feeling. Perhaps we should get up quicker and get over to eat Wild’s delicious food.”
“You just want to eat Wild’s cooking.” Legend joked, as Four stood up. “But yeah, the quicker we can get food and hopefully get off this island, the better.”
Legend walked over to the rest of the chain, where Wild’s cooking wafted around as Wild sat at a fire. Hyrule sat nearby, carefully looking at the flowers he had collected. Twilight kept glancing nervously at the sky, and Wind chatted to no one and everyone, waving his hands in exaggerated motions. Warriors glanced at Legend as Time lead them back.
“You good now Vet? Not going to murder anyone now?” Warriors cocked his eyebrow.
“Wouldn’t you like to know pretty boy.” Legend shot back.
“Glad to see you back to your sarcastic self.” Warriors replied.
Legend huffed amused.
“I have some fish soup for all of you.” Wild handed out the soup to everyone.
No one wasted any time digging into the soup. As Legend ate, he saw a singular seagull landing in a nearby tree.
Marin, I hope wherever you are, you are as happy.
***
As they finished eating their stew, Wind glanced at the sky nervously. It rumbled ominously, which gave Legend a chill. He could recognize the starting of a boss battle, even if he had no clue where it was.
“Wind, could this storm be signaling a boss battle?” Legend inquired, giving Wild his cleaned bowl.
Wind blinked at the sky, “it shouldn’t be, I’ve already taken care of the boss in this area… unless.. It somehow returned.”
“Like the blood moon in my time?” Wild asked, shifting through his sheikah slate in search of something.
Wind nodded. “Yeah, the big problem is that if the boss did return, we need a boat to defeat it. Something we currently do not have.”
Time looked at the young sailor. “What was the boss in this area Wind?” He rumbled.
“A very big octo. Very large, you can always tell when one is near because it starts to pour rain hard and water around it starts to form a whirlpool.” Wind explained, glancing towards the ocean nervously when rain started to pour from the sky.
Oh fuck. I don’t want to have to deal with ANOTHER boss. Legend groaned inwards quietly. I’ve already had to deal with so many..
Wind flinched as a rumble sounded from the ocean, Wild rushed to the edge of the island, peering into the waters curiously. He stumbled back quickly enough.
“There is a whirlpool. A very big one. I have a feeling that the Octo is still here-” Wild spoke, grabbing his bow and his slate.
“Great, we’re going to have to fight it aren’t we?” Legend groaned, moving to grab his bag of items. He shuffled through it looking for, preferably something long ranged. He got what he was looking for, a fire rod and ice rod was produced. But he frowned, noting that it might not be a good idea over open water.
“Well, yes, if we plan on leaving this island or leaving ourselves open to attacks. But the downside is that we’re going to need a boat to fight it..” Wind shuffled his feet as he tightened his grip on his sword.
“We can’t just use the island to shoot from afar?” Wild inquired, tilting his head.
“I mean, I guess we could..? But I have never tried that. All the times I had fought them, I had a boat that I sailed in.” “Tetra’s boat?” Sky asked and Legend glanced up to him. His hair was plastered to his face and his cloth around his next billowed in the harsh winds. His hand was on the mastersword’s hilt, and his eyes were narrowed in the harsh wind.
“Nope, someone else.”
Legend hummed, going back to his bag in search of a weapon, he finally stumbled upon what he was looking for. A bow. Legend didn’t know which adventure he got this particular bow, he thinks his first adventure, but the bow itself wasn’t something grand. Instead, it was the arrows. Specifically bomb arrows. He flourished his bow and started counting his arrows that he had.
100 arrows? Hmm, I swore I had more.. Maybe not, but I know.. Aha! I found the rest of my arrows. I’ll only be able to hold 70 in my quiver though. Legend grabbed 60 bomb arrows and 10 regular arrows. Bomb arrows are usually pretty effective against big targets right?
“Hey Wind, any weak points in this thing?” Four called, his voice much further away then before. Legend glanced up. Four was at the edge of the island using his bow and shooting a giant rising shape.
That… is a very big octorok. Legend blinked at the sheer size of it. It made Ganondorf look tiny, even puny, compared to the octorok. Legend noticed that the octorok was where the huge swarm of seagulls had circled just moments before.
“Yeah! Aim for the eyes!!” Wind called, and Legend turned to see Wind using his bow and arrows, all of them aimed for the octo’s eyes. Legend grabbed his bag and put it on as he finished sorting through his arrows.
Legend hurried over, pulling his bow back and shooting a bomb arrow. It landed perfectly on the octo’s top right eye. It was only missing one other eye, being shot at by Time moments earlier.
“Jeez Wind, how do this things get so big in your Hyrule?” Warriors exclaimed, ducking one of the octo’s tentacles as it swiped at him.
“It’s probably since we’re in an ocean! They typically like water.” Legend shot at Warriors.
“Yeah, but your name isn’t Wind! I asked Wind!”
“Sounds like someone is just upset that they asked a really obvious question.”
“Legend duck!” Twilight’s yell sounded out from Legend’s left. Legend on instinct rolled right, just barely being missed by a tentacle. Lightning crackled in the stormy sky.
“You okay?” Hyrule bent over to peer at Legend, holding his bow at his side and helping Legend up.
“Yup, just keep shooting Rulie!” Legend grabbed another arrow and shot at the Octo.
Hyrule joined him, shooting off arrows.
Then 5 eyes went down to 3, then 2. Every time the arrow made its mark, it would jiggle and shake.
Four yelped when a tentacle caught him off guard. He was thrown backwards, and Hyrule instantly went back to go and help Four. Legend felt his frustration grow more as Sky was next to be caught by the tentacles.
The arrow landed. 1 more eye to go.
By now, the octo has been having to swerve its head to spot the heroes, wildly swinging its tentacles in wide arcs in hopes of catching some unsuspecting prey. Legend dodged a swinging tentacle, glancing back up to see Wind landing the final arrow on the octo.
It didn’t go down.
“It must have an eye on it’s back side!” Wind exclaimed, and indeed, the octo did. Legend saw the eye as it swiveled away, clearly knowing better then to turn their direction. It kept swinging it’s tentacles wildly, with fast and practiced movements.
“How are we going to get it though?” Warriors shouted over the roaring wind.
Legend ducked from the tentacles again, noting its attacking style.
I could maybe use my mermaid suit or flippers, but I wouldn’t be able to climb back on the island due to all of its cliffs. And clearly there are no hookshot places, or at least from where I can see. I mean, maybe the trees but I doubt my hookshot would work. I could use its tentacles to scale the body and attack from the back. But then back to the ‘how will I get back up here?’ question.
Legend sighed at his idea, seeing no other choice, he decided that he would have to do it. So when the octo swung its tentacles again, Legend hopped onto it’s slimy skin. Clinging onto it for his dear life, he started to scale the monstrosity.
It proved to be a task indeed. It certainly could feel Legend there, and definitely did not want Legend there. It used its tentacles to whack Legend off, but Legend stood strong, Just barely over the wind, he could hear his fellow heroes shouting from the island, but he paid them no mind.
Legend kept losing his grip as he climbed, he kept sliding down minisculely. Soon, however, Legend had made it to the shoulder of the octo. He glanced up, noting how high up the cliff edge was from where he clutched the octo’s skin desperately. Sky was yelling something with a worried expression, but Legend couldn’t hear him. Water crashed against his legs on the small lip where the tentacle connected to the octo.
Well, I’m already down here. How am I going to get back up there?
Legend scrunched his nose in concentration as he inched along the lip of the octo. Having to keep his eyes open for incoming tentacles, he ducked as one came fast towards him. It only resulted in the Octo hitting itself. As Legend finally was able to inch all the way to the back side, he saw the final eye. Not far from it, it blinked and stared at him as he raised his bow. Knocking an arrow with one hand was tough, but something that Legend taught himself to do. He didn’t recall which adventure… maybe 4? Shaking his head, he took careful aim and made sure to keep a tight grip as to not fall into the swirling whirlpool below. He shot his arrow, watching as it hit its mark head on.
The octo let out a hideous noise, something between Wild’s octos and Four’s octos. Its tentacles curled in on itself, and it shook violently. Legend let out a surprised squeak at the sudden jiggling movement of the Octo. It’s eyes started to glow a bright blue and it slowly started to sink below the waves. Legend yelped, getting swept off by the water as he lost his footing.
By instinct, Legend grabbed his mermaid tail from his bag and instantly the familiar feel of the tail washed over him. Reminded Legend of taking a warm, bubbly bath and the warm water washing over his bottom half. His top half was not affected, and in fact felt like it was going to become a frozen hero popsicle. The ocean water curled around him, it’s presence like an overwhelming quilt that Ravio always brought him. Opening his eyes, he was greeted by the blank darkness of Wind’s Ocean. He thought he saw some fish swimming past, but they seemed more like Hyrule’s Zoras more than anything. Big fish with ugly faces and sharp teeth… maybe…
Squinting, Legend glanced around, blinking at the same darkness that surrounded him. He yelped, feeling something tugging him backwards and glanced back. And he instantly regret it.
The giant octo stared right at him, most likely into his soul with those blank, glowing eyes. Legend beat his tail, swiftly moving further away from the octo, hopefully out of the whirlpool that it created, and turned back.
The octo had vanished from sight. Legend blinked, rubbing his eyes before blinking again.
What the fuck? Whom the fuck? Why the fuck? He shrugged, breathing deeply. I mean- I guess that’s the most anticlimactic boss ending I’ve ever seen. And that’s really saying something. Legend didn't know how long he paddled there, blinking at the haze of the ocean, unable to tell what was up or down. Because, apparently, mermaids DON’T have night vision- or at least underwater vision. Which was stupid in Legend’s opinion, since they literally LIVE underwater. It wasn’t until light started streaming from above him, did Legend start to move again.
By then, Legend was sure he was going to freeze to death. His glittering red tail and fins swept through the water as he swam up, but he could feel the chill settling into his bones. They ached, and he could barely feel his arms.
As he surfaced, he felt the warmth of the sun settled onto him. The second thing that hit him was the call of the seagulls, which Legend could feel his heart aching at the sound.
He also could hear the panicked voices of his fellow heroes. Even Warriors, which was pretty surprising considering how much Legend did to get into a fight with him, was calling out his name. As he opened his eyes, he was greeted by a much odd sight.
Wind was hanging from the cliff with his grappling hook secured on a tree, Wild was on the wall itself, wearing a beanie sort of thing and boots. (Still had his blue tunic on though-) Warriors was pacing at the edge of the cliff with Time standing and watching worriedly. Legend was pretty sure that was the most worried expression he has ever seen on Time. Sky, Hyrule and Four were no where to be found. And Twilight was very clearly panicking. Skirting around the edges and calling his name frantically and just seemingly on the edge of a panic attack.
Huh, they really seem to care about me.. Even Warriors looks panicked. I would assume that Hyrule would be panicking if he wasn’t helping Four and Sky. They both looked like they took some hard hits. As Legend swam over, he heard the cries of relief from Wild and Wind on the cliff.
“Legend! Your okay! Oh thank the goddess!!” Twilight yelled from the top of the cliff.
“WHAT?!” Legend called back, pretending not to hear him. As he neared the edge, he saw Wind’s eyes widen. He quickly took his mermaid tail and shoved it back into his bag again. He hoisted himself up, pulling out his grappling hook to find out- that yes it does clutch onto the cliff wall.
“Next time we fight a boss, can we fight it on land?” Legend muttered as he started climbing. “Especially when the only piece of land has fucking steep cliffs.”
Wind hopped up next to him as they climbed. “Hey- it’s not as bad as the ones in Wild’s time though. You recall that Hindox on top of the really big hill?”
“Yes. I also recall how Wild threw a really big boulder at it- and bombs.”
“Hey! It was a situation where it was called for!”
“It really wasn’t called for.” Legend shot back as he got near the top. Time reached down and helped Legend up. Warriors got Wind up, and Wild just got himself.
Instantly, Legend was crushed by fur. “Oof- Twilight! Stop- your.. CRUSHING ME!-” He yelped as the bear (wolf?) hug only got tighter.
“You worried us!” Twilight cried. “If Sky and Four hadn’t been injured, Hyrule would be panicking just as much as I was!” Legend choked out a weak “I can’t breath” before the hug was stopped. Putting Legend back on the ground with only some minor broken bones. He stood there gasping for breath after that death grip of a hug. Before smirking.
“Even Warriors was panicking?” Legend snarked, giving Warriors a sideways glance mirthfully.
Warriors stared back at Legend. “I was worried, but now I’m regretting it.”
“You do care!” Legend dramatically gasped.
“You’re as dramatic as Four.”
“I’ve learned from the best.”
Legend ganced around, noting that Time, Warriors, Wind, Wild and Twilight were mostly uninjured. (With Warriors having some suction cup markings on his face.) He saw Hyrule by the campfire, and ran over. Ignoring the muttered 'wow what are we, boko fodder?’ from Warriors.
“Hyrule!” Legend said as he neared his descendant. Hyrule glanced up.
“Legend! You’re okay! You were down there for so long! I was worried!” Hyrule, much like Twilight, hugged Legend very tightly. As if he planned to never let go. As he pulled away, he instantly went to checking for wounds.
“Are you hurt? Did the octo get anything? On a scale from 1-10, how are you feeling? Do you need a potion?” Hyrule worried, circling around Legend like a hawk and its prey.
“I’m fine. How is Four and Sky?” Legend asked, peering at the two heroes.
Four looked peaceful, his eyes closed shut and he laid splayed out on the ground. Sky was more awake, leaning heavily at the base of the tree. He glancing at Legend, blinking slowly.
“Well, Four was hit hard enough to be knocked unconscious, Sky has a minor concussion. Nothing too bad. Well, actually it’s not good that they got injured, but like.. It’s not serious injuries.” Hyrule waved his hand over towards Four and Sky, his eyes leaving Legend to glance over towards them.
“Since our dinner was RUDELY INTERRUPTED,” Wild hopped over to his mostly unfinished bowl, glancing angrily at the previous place where the octo had been, “I say we finish up and just vibe here until the next shift!”
“How are you still not finished with that? I finished mine hours ago!” “Some of us don’t eat as fast as you, not all of us have that kind of ability. I certainly didn’t get it with my hero licence.”
“Hey, what’s that implying?!”
“Guys, chill.” Wind walked over to Legend with a pondering look on his face.
“Hey, what’s up Wind?” Legend asked, glancing at the pirate.
“That octo- it was different…” Legend hummed, and when Wind didn’t continue, Legend looked over to see the sailor asleep next to him, his back propped up to the stump.
He smiled quietly, leaning back to watch the sun set below the horizon. A seagull perched nearby, fixing him with strikingly similar cool amber eyes. Legend choked quietly, tears starting to pool at the edges of his vision.
Marin, I miss you. I’m sorry.
Legend closed his eyes, feeling the grass below him and the call of the seagulls.
Then suddenly, he was free.
Bonus
“You know, islands remind me of an old friend of mine- her name was Marin.” Legend mumbled quietly, and felt Sky’s arms wrap around him.
“I’m sorry.” Sky whispered, Legend could feel the pitying glance that Four shot him. Legend could feel himself shaking, tears starting to form at the corners of his eyes.
“Oh- Marin? You mean the seagull lover? I knew her- she’s was kinda odd…” Warriors voice piped up from literally behind them.
Legend whipped his head around so fast, he could’ve snapped his neck for all he knew.
“You what.”
Warriors stared at Legend with a bored expression.
“Yeah- showed up in the War, right into the middle of battle, might I add. Almost cut her head off, he had appeared outta nowhere.” Warriors drowsed, peering at the trio of heroes staring at him with a mixture of interest (Four), shock (Sky), and fury with a mix of shock and joy (Legend).
“Okay, first of all Warriors. What the FUCK-”
EXTRA EXTRA BONUS (This was orginally going to go in, but it was much better as an outtake.)
Then suddenly, he was free.
And his face was mashed into the mud.
He coughed and sputtered, shaking himself of the mud.
“Oh hey- we’re in my hyrule!” Wild exclaimed.
“WHY DID I HAVE TO LAND IN MUD?!” came Warriors’s shriek.
Legend spat out a chunk of mud, standing up with as much grace as he had respect for the goddess. (spoiler alert, it was none.) And groaned at the sunny day that greeted him.
He smirked upon noticing Warriors appearance. Mud caked his hair and his clothes where a rumpled mess.
“Looks like pretty boy isn’t pretty any more. I guess now your nickname is boy.” “LEGEND I SWEAR TO THE GODDESS-” “You know I don’t care about the goddess Warriors.” “LEGEND!”

A ghost roamed the ranch. Every time Wild would pass it, he could hear the whispering in the breeze, the shifting of the leaves. The talking of the ghost.
The rumor said that the ghost had been there for thousands of years, desperately searching for something, someone. The ghost never attacked him. All it did was watch, listen and spoke to nobody and everybody. The ghost calls for their lost family, eager to finally be reunited again.
Wild never truly understood the spirit, its words were too quiet and its crying sorrow broke his heart. It says that that ghost waits until the day she can be free.
Until the day she reunites with the one called Wild.
Wild knew, sometimes he thought he could hear the ghost cry his name. His name echoing from her lips and spilling onto the ground like a cascade of water. Until it dries and nothing is left.
She calls im sorrow, the folks say, she is cursed and will never leave. Wild walked towards the ranch, and as he slowly approached, he could hear his name spoken.
The ghost turned towards him, her eyes sulkened and her clothes torn and gracefully flowing behind her.
Her hair, once red and blooming, now dry and grey. A plain ring sat on her index finger and her calloused hands now flickering in the light. Shapes, far duller than the ghost, wandered the place. None could be clearly seen, but they turned towards Wild with expressions familar and yet, new. Sometimes, there are other shapes. All glowing blue. Swords gleam in their scabbards and hats on their heads. Some say that they see a triforce piece glowing on their hands
"Wild" The ghost whispered. "Wild you have finally come." She was home.
I got a bunch of lu (wind) prompts here, so I'm just going to throw a bunch of words on this and lets see how this turns out!

"And so, they were finally free to wander the world in peace." Wild finished, waving his hands as he sat by the fire.
Four let out a sound between a whimper and a cry quietly.
Wind smiled. "Thats a nice story, but let me tell you one even better. You see, there's there was this phantom ship, one which held numerous treasures within. Tetra and I, along with the crew, started to board the ship and steal all of it's treasures..." Wind enthusiastically explained, painting the scene with hand gestures.
Time stared at the small hero as he spoke with so much thrill, causing Wild to be leaning forward in his seat.
Legend leaned over to Warriors, watching as Wind captured the rest of the heroes in his story. He whispered "How much do you think this is real..?"
Warriors took a second, before blinking at Legend. "What? I'm sorry, Wind is telling a really good story."
Legend blinked, turning to stare at Wind. How much of his stories are true...?
Wind coughed, a ragged dry cough. His throat felt dry as a desert.
He shivered, glancing over at the rest of the heroes as Wild stirred the cooking pot, probably making soup for him.
Suddenly, a heavy weight fell on this shoulders and he glanced up, seeing blue in the corner of his eyes. He looked at the strange item wrapped around him. It was Warrior's scarf. He glanced at Warriors, blinking at how odd it was seeing him without his scarf.
"Wha-?"
Warriors shrugged. Then waved it off. "Keep it, I can get it back once you're feeling better. I've always seen it as a good luck charm, maybe it can bring good luck to you by curing your sickness." He strolled off towards Four at the far side of camp.
Wind shivered, burying his face into the warm, comfortable scarf.
I'm so taking this once I get better. Its so nice and soft...
A battle raged around him, and Wind ducked and slashed at monsters. He sliced the bokoblin he was fighting, black blood spilling across the ground. His gaze snapped up and searched for his compantions, friends, and family. He saw Wild, shooting arrows at top speed, Hyrule, causing.. Was that lightning? to strike every so often. Sky and Warriors were fighting back to back. Time and Twilight surged against the horde. Legend and Four were no where to be seen.
"LEGEND! FOUR!!" Wind called out, desperately searching for them in the horde.
Legend head popped up, swimming through the crowd. Wind sighed a breath of relief at seeing him, but his heart clenched in fear with no sight of Four.
Wind ducked as a Moblin clawed at where his head was mere moments before. He searched the area, keeping an eye out for the shortest hero and his very colorful outfit.
As he dodged the moblin, he noticed a darknut closing in on a very familiar multicolored tunic.
Four! His mind thought and he frantically shoved past monsters. Rushing to go save his brother. He neared and shoved his sword through the darknut's stomache, slicing its armor and itself in half. It crumbled to dust as he rushed over to where Four lay.
"Four?! Four!" Wind shook Four, his mind panicking when Four didn't respond.
Wind did a quick check, noticing a wound on the smithy's head. Knocked unconscious? I always forget that the Smithy is more prone to head injuries. Wind sighed in relief as he felt the constant pulse of his brother.
He stood stance over Four's prone body, ready to defend him until his final dying breath.
"Hey Wind, did you know in my Hyrule, that you can stop time and go into another dimension that shouldn't exist? I call it the 'title screen'." Twilight told Wind. Wind gasped, staring at Twilight in awe. "Thats so cool! Can I see it?"
It all started out when Wild made a joke about being able to fly by using explosives. Wind had believed him. They were trying to push it and see what limits existed.
As far as they know, there is none.
"Hey Wind, I once had to fight the moon." Time piped up.
Wind blinked at Time. "Really? Amazing!!!"
Four blinked at Time. "If you fought the moon, and destroyed it, wouldn't that have destroyed your world? I mean.. Tides, and gravity..."
"Shhhh Four. No one knows the concept of science ye-... Wait... How do you..." Wild stared at Four, his eyes wide.
Four just snickered and didn't respond.
"Whose Hyrule is this?" Time asked, and the 7 other heroes all made noises of disagreement, signaling that this wasn't any of their Hyrules.
"I hate water." Legend muttered as he stared at the open abyss of water.
"I saw we explore the land. Maybe we can find more mainland that way?" Wild suggested, pointing in the opposite direction of the sea.
"No, will not work. I think we're on an island." Sky called from where he landed in a tree.
"Who are you?!" A voice called out and a small, blonde haired child came running out of the forest. Waving a sword and sheild, they also had a bow on their back.
"Hey, little one. We're lost. Do you have any directions or a boat we could use? Also, if you have any information, is there a hero in the land?" Time asked, his shoulders relaxing realizing that the child was no threat.
"Why are you looking for me?!" The child exclaimed, holding the sword defensively.
"That's the hero?" Legend muttered to Hyrule. Hyrule just shrugged.
"You are Link?" Time questioned.
The small child hero paused a quick moment before nodding.
Four strolled right up to them. "Finally! Someone my size! Hi! Okay, this is going to sound odd, but we're the past heroes. I'm Four, the armored one is Time, Wild is the one hanging upside down from the tree, Sky is the one on the tree, Warriors is the one with the blue scarf who is arm wrestling Twilight, and that's Hyrule and Legend." Four said, pointing to each one.
"Well uhh.. You can call me A-I mean Wind?" The new hero said, stuttering slightly as he stared at Time in awe.
(He? They? Four couldn't tell.)
"I assume thats your hero titles right?" The little hero, newly dubbed Wind, asked.
Time nodded. Wind gasped in awe.
"You're the hero of time?! That's amazing! So cool!!" Wind cheered.
"Ahh, so another hero after Time." Legend scratched his neck.
Twilight snickered at the young hero's enthusasim.
***
Three swaps and Four could say that the new hero was off.
They had no idea how or what was wrong, but something was just off about Wind. As they landed in Wind's time again, they were stuck on an island out in the middle of no where.
"This is my Hyrule!" The young hero cried, their hazel eyes gleamed as they surveyed the water.
"Ugh, I hate water." Legend groaned next to Four.
A boat sailed far in the distance, ever slowly coming closer.
Wind smiled, waving his hands excitedly as the boat neared.
A tanned head with curly blonde locks stuck out over the side and peered at them, her eyes narrowing seeing Wind. They vanished quickly.
What was that about? Four wondered.
As the boat stopped, a young tanned girl from before (the one who peered at them), hopped down and pointed a sword at Wind.
"Who are you imposter." They said in a serious tone, and the rest of the chain reacted, their hands instinctively going towards their swords.
"Imposter?" Legend asked, facing Wind curiously. "What does that mean Wind?"
"Uhm." Wind was clearly panicking, his eyes glancing back and forth between the chain and the girl.
Another person landed slid down and walked up next to the girl, he was very familiar, as he looked exactly like Wind. "Uhm, Tetra, what is going on?"
"This is an imposter Link!" Tetra cried, her sword creeping closer to Wind.
"I'm sorry, I think we got on the wrong foot. You said your name is Link from this timeline? Then is there two heroes?" Time asked, clearing his throat. "We are the past heroes, and we've been traveling with Wind over here."
"Wind... wait ARYLL?!" Link cried, moving forward and putting his hand on Tetra's sword lowering it.
"I didn't want to lose you again big brother... I'm sorry." Wind, Aryll? said, frowning at the sand.
The real hero of Wind hugged Aryll.
"Could someone explain what is going on..?" Hyrule asked, scratching his neck.
Basically it's a Twilight Princess speedrun low%, but its Lu and Twilight just stares at a rupee for 17 hours as he slowly gets absorbed by the wall. Enjoy!

Legend groaned as a branch smacked right into his face for the seven-hundredth time that day. Shoving it out of his face he ducked to avoid the next incoming leafy missile.
"Twilight, where are we going that is so off road?" Legend asked as Warriors grumbled behind him. "And also, we've lost the rest of the group." Legend squinted into the trees, his hair tickling his neck as he looked for the others.
"Well, I mean they have Zelda. Plus! I wanted to see something. You see, there is this wall that I've had a particular trouble with... And you always seem to have rupees. I will need a rupee when we get there." Twilight explained, motioning to a big gate with a heavy lock on front. It was three times the size of Time (Legend groaned internally), and clearly sturdy by looking at it.
"See, I was challenged a while back to find a way into here..." Twilight started, crossing his arms and staring at the gate. "Back then, I didn't have anything with me... but now I will get past this gate." Twilight paused, turning towards Legend and Warriors. The later of which was grumbling and pulling leaves out of his hair.
"Continue.." Legend said with the most deadpan expression and voice.
"Without opening the gate." Twilight grinned, revealing sharp canines from his wolf form. "Hey one of you, pass me a rupee. Doesn't matter what kind. This is going to take a while... probably." Twilight smiled as he stood at the gate facing Legend and Warriors.
Warriors threw a blue rupee and stood back, watching as Twilight grabbed it and stared at it.
It went so long that the sun was starting to set and Legend and Warriors had made a campfire, bickering as the time passed.
"Hey Twilight?"
"Yeah?"
"You've been staring at that rupee for seven hours now. I think it knows your the stare master. Or if this is a staring contest your losing. Badly." Legend groaned, watching the unintresting display of Twilight just staring at a rupee.
"Yeah, I did warn you it would take a while."
Fourteen hours in and Twilight was still staring at a rupee. But Legend noticed something... odd.
"I'm sorry, but Twilight? Are you.... merging into the wall??" Warriors beat Legend to the chase, his eyes staring at where Twilight was clearly partly in the wall.
"Yeah, you know that one thing you can do where you phase into walls Legend? This is kind of like that, it just takes a lot of time.." Twilight laughed quietly.
"Oh for the love of hylia. You mean like one of those physic defying things?" Legend laughed. A short, barky sound. It reminded Warriors of a Rabbit.
Warriors sighed, finishing up an apple he was eating. "Well, we should probably sleep in shifts. Since we don't know where the rest of the group is and there could be monsters around."
Legend nodded. "Good place for an ambush. I'll take first and when, and if, Twilight stops staring at a rupee, I'll wake you up."
Warriors nodded and settled down. Laying out his mat, he settled on a comfortable position as Legend observed the surrounding area.
"So Twilight. Have you ever done this before?" Legend asked.
Twilight nodded. "Once. There was this gate I had to get past to fight a boss. However, I couldn't get the key, so I had to sit there staring at a rupee for 20 hours. My friend was so dumbfounded and I would say, it was worth it seeing her face." Twilight laughed quietly, his expression turning sad at the mention of his friend.
Legend groaned. "It took you 20 hours? Oh god. I have a feeling we'll be here for a very long time."
Seventeen hours of nothing, and Legend was done. He had woken Warriors up and sat down on his mat again as Warriors rubbed his eyes.
Warriors glanced at Twilight muttered "He's still at it?"
Legend nodded. "I've been timing him. Its been 17 hours."
"Geez." Warriors groaned. "At least it seems he's halfway into the gate or something."
Suddenly, Twilight jerked. Both Warriors and Legend jumped as Twilight suddenly moved, vanishing behind the gate.
They both stared at the gate, and it suddenly opened. Revealing Twilight with slightly bloodshot eyes.
"I did it! AHA I beat the challenge! I'm... I'm going to sleep." Twilight mumbled, collapsing next to Legend.
"Must of been a very interesting rupee huh?" Legend snickered.
"Right now, all I can see is blue rupees. Everything is just blue rupees now." Twilight groaned, he rolled over on his back in the grass. "I forgot how boring it is and how painful is it after. I feel so sore, I don't think I will stand for the next ten thousand years."
Warriors snorted. "Would you like some help setting up your mat?"
"Yes please."

"Guys, this is Olly"
"Wild, that is a stalhorse. Get away from that thing!"
"But he's a friend, say hello to him. And hurry up, it's half past 3"
Time facepalmed, his one good eye staring at where Hyrule was gently patting Olly gently, a confused expression on his face.
Legend to was groaning in a face palm. "Aren't those things monsters or something? The stable person said that it could eat the other horses when you tried to keep the last one."
"What do you mean? Why do we need to hurry?" Four asked simultaneously, looking into Olly's glowing eyes. "Also Wild had gotten more of these? When? And why have I never seen them before now??" Four's eyes widened and glimmered violet in the moonlight.
Wind was petting Olly, clearly not caring about danger. Sky and Twilight, however, stayed back.
"Well, you see..." Wild started before Olly collapsed in on himself.
Wind and Four instinctively jerked away, Time noticed Four's hand instantly go to his sword handle. Warriors watched quietly, not reacting much but a small stiffen of his muscles. Legend watched disinterestedly but his hand flashed to his bag for a quick second. Sky and Twilight stared not moving. Only Hyrule and Wild was unfazed. Time himself was a little unnerved as Olly started to break apart.
"That happens.." Wild said as he watched his friend crumple into purple dust to float away in the wind.
"Aww, but Olly!" Hyrule said slightly sad as he watched the nicest (In Hyrule's opinion) monster fade away into the wind.
"Olly shall be missed on this day..."

Sky frowned, blinking at Wild as he hummed. Unaware of what impact he just said.
"I'm sorry, but you said that a person just, gave you the master sword?" Time asked, blinking slowly at Wild.
He nodded. "Yep. After I gave him 10 restless crickets.
Twilight shrugged. "Whats up with that? I got my master sword by defeating a poe."
Four frowned again, staring at them. "I have a very odd feeling that this is not normal, yet I got the four sword, though it was called the white blade (tempered) at the palace of the winds as well as, for some reason, the earth element." Four frowned, his multicolored eyes flickering with colors.
Wind nodded. "Yeah! I got my wind waker from a chest underneath a house... I don't know how it got there, but I'm not questioning it."
Time shrugged. "I got my Zora mask before I got my deku mask."
"Is that out of order or...?" "Yeah, it very much is."
Hyrule and Legend sat quietly.
"Well I don't know about any of... that, but once I got lost and got the magic boomerang before I got any bombs or swords." Hyrule tilted his head to one side.
"I once found a boss key out in the middle of nowhere. Really no clue how it got there, but Linkle got it." Warriors blinked before he resumed to sharing his sword.
Legend stared at all of them.
"Beetle did once selll me clawshots and digging mitts, as well as a heart container... for some reason. And I did get the Goddess's sword by crashing a chandiler..." Sky shrugged.
Legend blinked, processing what was happening. "All of you are a menace. I'm sorry, but Sky you crashed a chandelier?" a nod. Legend pinched his nose. "I don't exactly think that was the way you were supposed to get those items. I mean, yeah, I understand. My uncle somehow gave me magic cape.."
Epona snorted as all the links contemplated life in silence.
"Yeah, something definitely went wrong."
Sooo, you all asked for it and you all shall receive!!

Red woke up to see the moonlight filtering in above him in the pitch darkness as stars gleamed like tiny holes in a box. He could hear his siblings snoring deeper in the house and stretched. He wonder vaguely what woke him, maybe the cool draft slowly swirling into his room? No. Tilting his head he pondered.
Are those eyes outside?? Red noticed, alarm spiking through his veins. He shot out of bed and crept downstairs. Weaving his way past the stuffed animals on his floor. He quietly went to grab his fire rod. But first he wanted to check and make sure his siblings were okay.
He passed Green’s room first, peeking his head in he saw Green lay sprawled on his bed. His face was buried into his pillows as he snored quietly. Red smiled softly at the sight. His room was messy as always, clothes and other various objects thrown across. Blue would be furious seeing anyone’s room like this.
Blue was next as Red checked her room. She was all bundled in blankets, clearly not happy with the cold wind of the night. Her clothes were neatly folded and hanging in the closet. Her floor was clean, void of any clutter that Green or Red had.
Finally Red went to check on Vio. Glancing inside the clutter of papers was present as always. Some where across their purple desk and some had fluttered towards the floor. Their curtains were tightly drawn casting barely any light into the room. Red had to squint his eyes to see Vio’s form on their bed.
Good, their asleep. Red smiled, happy that Vio was actually sleeping. But for how long?
Vio was curled tightly, taking very shallow breathes as if they were suffocating. They twitched occasionally and made small wimpers as Red frowned worriedly at them.
I think Vio is having a nightmare… Red though frowning at his brother. Once I check on those weird eyes I’m going to come and help you. I swear!
Red quietly went downstairs, treading carefully intothe darkened kichen, quietly snagging his fire rod, sword, sheild and even some armor, he opened the door and closed it quietly. Stepping out side, he glanced around holding the fire rod out for light. He heard something shuffling behind him and he drew his sword.
“Wh.. who is there?!” He spoke into the quiet night, fear betrayed by his expression.
A shadow of darkness appeared behind him. Its red eyes glowed in the sparkling moonlight.
Red squinted, blinking rapidly and his sword hand shaking slightly. “Sh.. Shadow? Is that you?! What happened to you?” Red asked, putting his sword down once he recognize Shadow’s form.
Shadow’s right eye was almost entirely red with the exception of a pupil, becoming a white dot in his eyes. A huge gash dripped black.. ooze? It dripped into the grass, leaving behind what looked like ink stains. His left eye looked… partly normal. The edges were red and were fading into his eyes, trying to close into his pupil and capture it in a sea of red. Black ink flowed from his right eye and some started to drip from his left eye. As if black stained tears were cascading down.
“Where are the others? I.. I need to tell you guys something.. before…” Shadow looked around desperately, searching as if he was being hunted.
“I can wake them up, come on. You shouldn’t be standing in the cold night!” Red smiled nervously, catching the urgency from Shadow.
They both crept back into the house and Red set his sword and sheild down, gently placing the small amount of armor he had on and went to wake the others. He started with Vio, hoping to jerk them from their nightmare first.
“Hey Vio? Wake up.” Red walked over to his brother who was still laying on his bed. After a couple of tries, Vio’s eyes snapped open and they grabbed the nearest thing, (which turned out to be Red), and hung on for dear life.
“Hey, Vio its okay its okay.” Red hugged them. “Shhh its okay.”
Vio blinked at Red, and let go slowly, rubbing their eyes as they woke up.
“Red? Why are you in my room at this time? Whats going on?”
Red smiled. “Its Shadow, he’s back… but something is wrong. Can you wake up Green? I need to wake up Blue.”
Vio nodded slowly. “Yeah… I can.”
Red nodded and stood back up, gently helping his brother up. Vio stood and stretched and went to wake up Green, grateful that he got the more agreeable brother.
Now to wake up Blue. Red thought. Waking up the beast is never a good idea… I wonder what happened on the mission that would make Shadow so frazzled..
Red knew Shadow had been sent on a mission by Zelda to look at recent monsters that had been popping up. These monsters were much stronger then the regular ones and had black blood. Shadow had been gone for a couple of days, way more than he should have been while on a scout mission.
Red came to Blue’s room and opened her door.
“Hey, Blue. Wake up please.” Red spoke, aiming his eyes towards the clutter of blankets nestled on the bed.
Unlike Vio, Blue instantly woke up and stared at Red. Hopping out of her bed, she gently picked off the blankets that clung to her and then she stared at Red.
“Whats up?” She asked, moving to get changed.
Red turned around knowing Blue didn’t like having people watch her change.
“Shadows back.” Red replied. “He’s back from his mission but something is wrong. He looks different and they were panicking.”
Blue didn’t say anything, only the shuffling of her getting dressed quicker indicated that she heard.
“Okay, lets go down.” Blue said. Walking past Red towards the door. “Is everyone else awake?” She asked as Red followed her.
“I sent Vio to wake Green, I don’t know if they were awake enough though…” Red murmered
“Well if they aren’t down there, I can go and wake Green up.”
“Oh goddess no. The last time you used swords to make a loud noise and woke the entire house!” Red groaned.
“Well I mean if everyone needs to be up anyways, I see nothing wrong.” Blue shrugged.
They finished the last step and rushed into the living room to see Green sitting on the couch and Vio leaning against the wall between the living room and kichen. They were both looking at Shadow’s new design as he anxiously paced the room. In the few minutes Red was gone, he noticed that more of Shadow’s left eye was more red and it almost completely surrounded an almost white pupil. As Blue and Red hurried into the room, Vio looked at them and Green turned his head confused. Still trying to blink away sleep from his head.
Shadow also looked up. “Oh good. You guys are all here. You need to listen those monsters aren’t natural.. there was something, someone I didn’t recognize and they.. I don’t know did something and they made those monsters. They can do it to hylians I think they can and I only ha-”
“Slow down Shadow, I can barely understand you.” Green pointed out.
“I only have so much time… there was.. someone making the black blooded monsters… I think… I think they are the cause of the monster outbreaks.”
A sharp intake went around the room.
“What did they look like?” Blue asked, her eyes narrowing.
“Well, they wore black clothing. Much like me but much taller. Their eyes were fully black with small red pupiles… thats.. thats all I remember before I passed out.” Shadow shook his head. Blinking wildly.
“I need to leave!” He suddenly shouted, rushing through the door and closing it with a slam as he ran outside.
Red reacted instantly, being the closest to the door, he followed Shadow behind. He could also hear cries of his brothers as they chased Shadow.
Shadow ran into the nearby forest and Red followed, his eyes never leaving Shadow’s form as he raced through the moonlit forest. Red could hear minish racing through the trees also. Branches slapped his face and left stinging wounds at his speeds.
Shadow stopped in a forest clearing and looked at Red in sadness. Red looked for his brothers but couldn’t see them behind him. All that was there was trees that surrounded them and encased them in an arena.
Shadow looked so… sad, his eyes completely red surrounding a white pupils.
“I’m so.. so sorry Red… I can’t… help. Its… Its got me..” He collasped and cried into the night.
Red rushed forward to hug him, and something changed with Shadow. He could distantly hear yelling of his brothers and crackling of twigs.
Shadow grew more… animalistic. Straighting his back and arching his spine, he hissed and it sounded. Strange per say. By this time though, Red already had his arms wrapped around Shadow and he felt a piercing strike along his back. It felt like several, sharpened claws were simultaneously tearing out flesh from under his tunic. He yelped as Shadow shoved him away and hissed in an unlike Shadow fashion. He heard his brother closer but he couldn’t take his eyes off of Shadow, or whatever Shadow became.
“Red! There you are! Wha- Shadow?” Green called out, gently putting a hand on Red’s shoulder.
Red blinked and noticed all of his brothers were standing nearby looking at Shadow worriedly.
“Shadow? Whats wrong?” Green took a step but Red blurted out: “Don’t go near him!”
Green blinked and obeyed, stepping back and keeping a distance.
“What.. what do you think is wrong?” Vio wondered, his hands twitching for a bow he didn’t have.
Red shrugged, the pain in his back stung, and shook his head. “I don’t know. Its like he’s become a different creature even!”
Shadow hissed again in that unnatural sound and vanished, no puff of smoke and no lingering shadows like he usually world leave. He just left nothing.
They all stared in silence before chaos broke loose.
Blue swore. “Shadow come back here!! Where are you?!”
Green whipped out his sword, the only one who brought his weapon out. He observed the area and kept close eyes out.
Red was just blankly staring at where Shadow once stood.
Vio however noticed something odd. Something inky black was dripping from Red’s back. But he blinked and saw nothing as if it was never there. Maybe he was hallucinating.
Shadow stood, in the trees watching his brothers yell and stare around. He sighed quietly as he watched them. Narrowing his eyes, he could spot Red’s injured back, barely. He moved his claws into sight and grimaced at the red, stickly blood that clung to them.
“Well, I thought I would find you here.” A voice called out behind him.
Shadow twisted around hissing and ready to attack. A spectator in his own body.
The dark appeared and stared sadly. “You couldn’t warn them?”
Shadow shook his head. “I did something worse. I panicked, I couldn’t control myself… and I got Red. I’m so.. sorry.. that voice is so… loud.”
The dark frowned. “Well, I guess that leaves plan H, huh? I really would rather not use my powers that extensively…”
Shadow sighed and frustration and sadness. He could feel that aching feeling of drawing blood. That unnatural thrill that wasn’t him and the chills that he couldn’t control. That voice urging him to kill his kin, his brothers. The people who stood by him and helped him.
“You did wonderfully my friend. Amazing job. Perhaps I should enlist you instead of those… unuseful idiots as my hands and my king. Well I say you have definitely earned my left hand’s servent role.”
That voice that whispered promises into his ear. Unknowing of the betrayal that sat at their hearts.
Maybe I will continue this if enough people like it.
Also wow a whole lotta tags lol.
Also quite a bit of spelling errors, tell me and i shall improve it :D
Lost Four Swords: 1 2(coming soon!)
Yo! How do you find someone to help with a fic you're trying to write? I don't really have friends that like Linked universe, and I need someone to help me figure out how to actually write 👉👈
Looking for a LU fic! Please help. Four ends up stuck with Dink, and in a vein similar to Threats and theatrics by hrtruona has to pull off a big act of the colors fighting each other. Details may not be entirely accurate, but I really wanna find this fic
