Seconding the recommendation for the Critshow, but to give some more mainstream examples, there's also Jack Harkness from Doctor Who and Torchwood, Hob Gabling from Sandman, and a character from Misfits whose name I can't remember because it's been years.

An Account of Verrry Real Events (Part 1)

I made a comic from chapter 3 of @hehe-hoho-ohno ‘s fic Misfits! Please go read it! It’s so painful yet warm and I love it dearly! Enough to draw fanart of it!

There are 3 parts in total to this comic so it’s gonna be a bit of a longer haul getting it posted but it’s shall be done!

A misfits conversation that somehow gets veered towards parents

Lenore:I don't like my parents very much

Eulalie, innocently: Because of your daddy issues?

Lenore:How do you know about my daddy issues

Pluto: It's kinda obvious

Bernice: You do not get to talk Pluto, you aren't any better babes

Pluto: What! What does that mean

Duke: Mon minou allez, you constantly hide in your jacket and hair is constantly covering half your face at all times

Pluto: That's...

Pluto:That's fair

Lenore:Do good parents exist, I surely never met one.

Morella: I think so, some have to right?

Berenice: I'm sure they do, most of us haven't remembered our parents anyway, they could be saints.

The misfits:...

Eulalie, cheerfully: probably not

Will is (rightfully) terrified of everyone in the misfits with the exception of Morella, not cause she isn't badass but because she's the only one who hasn't threatened to or actively beat up him or Montresor. Eulalie hit him over the head with a vase then stabbed him like a hundred times when she thought he was Monty. Berenice straight up bit him a dozen times. Pluto hit him with a fucking crowbar and tried to shoot Monty, both of these with zero hesitation. Duke got his specter and immediately beat monty's ass and successfully made Ada attack Monty which made him get attacked (Which I'm sure he 100% blames that on Duke and Ada and not even a little on Montresor.) And Lenore threatened him with a gun point blank, and while she knew the gun wasn't loaded there isn't a doubt in his mind that she would end him if Duke died. What I mean to say is that basically any time Will walks pass any of the misfits he immediately books or it or hides as well as he can without getting yelled at by Montresor.

The conversation I think the misfits had after getting out of the cellar.

Lenore: ok now we just wait at the top of the stairs for them to come out and then we insult them

Eulalie: Why?

Lenore: To rub it in there faces that we won

Duke: love the idea, but first I should change no?

Pluto: Your stuff is already in the room

Duke: déjà? When did you move it?

Berenice: Montresor threw your stuff out, the jackass. We kept it in Pluto's room

Duke: Well that makes this easier, Je reviendrai!

Berenice: Well as much as i'd love to stay and rub it in those clusterfucks face, I'm beat. How about you biscuit?

Eulalie: I'm tired too, do you want to go to our room?

Berenice: That sounds great, have fun dolls

Lenore & Pluto: Bye, sleep well.

Duke:I'm back, and I brought you a jacket mon minou

Pluto: Oh, thanks

Morella: Duke, you're sick! You should be in bed!

Duke: I will, I promise mon petite. But first I need to do this

Morella: ... Fine, but I'm going to go make some soup for you

Duke: Thank you Morella

Lenore: And now we wait

Duke:Think they'll take long?

Pluto: I hope not
