I think you're right that Vertin is 16.

Vertin should be around the same age as Sonetto, Mesmer Jr and Matilda as they all shared a class together (though either they have a larger range of ages within a class due to having few students or Matilda skipped a grade, which seems more likely)

I think Door is the same age as life on earth??? Or at least land? That's what his first story implies

Sputnik is at probably at least around 3 months old? She awakened at some point between Oct 1957 and Jan 1958 but IDK how long she's been in Laplace since then

The Fool is at least 250 years old, though they may be older - having been seen in the 1650s - assuming that all characters come from the 20th century.

Likewise La Source is at least 150 years old as that is when she first came to Paris (1850s)

(until v1.4 in CN)

✏️ Some notes:

- Lilya’s age in Global is “unknown,” but in CN server is 17. I am going with 17 because it makes sense for her to have an age. Most likely a translation mistake in GLB.

- Eternity’s age is said to be “more than a century,” so more than 100 years old, I’d say?

- A Knight’s age is said to be “exhibited in Medieval Times,” iirc so around that-amount-of-years-below-ago since 1999? Very uncertain, please correct me if I’m wrong.

- Soooooo I think Vertin is around 16-18?

I don’t think Till is dead, at least not narratively.

He is very much dead in canon imo. Even if he could theoretically survive the shots from Blink Gone, Wiege made a point in Mizi’s grief and her crying is a big indicator he’s probably not breathing anymore. I do see some people trying to rationalize why he’s not dead yet using real world sciences, but honestly it’s a reach. It unrealistic to expect works of art to portray real world science 100% accurately (as in we artists does do our research, but can’t research to the extent of such fans reverse engineering and selecting very niche things to prove something).

However, Till’s story has not reached any sort of climax or have a satisfactory ending yet. So far, Sua’s, Ivan’s and Hyuna’s stories can be tied up in a neat little bow, but Till’s is still lacking. So far there are 3 main points/stories we know about him, being his backstory (MamaTill (i forgot her name) and her love for him being a catalyst for his love of humanity/other things seeing as he’s the only other member of Alnst’s cast to have actual human blood family), his admiration for Mizi (being his inspiration for many things) and his complicated relationship with Ivan. I think it’s pretty clear their relationship is not unrequited and Till does consider him and Ivan somewhat close, but I interpret their relationship as being not very communicative and that leads to the tragedy of Ivan’s story. That being said, I don’t believe we’ve quite have a clear perspective of Till’s side on their relationship. Cure is very focused on Ivan’s perspective of things, and while Blink Gone does show some imagery of Ivan, it is more of his reaction to Ivan’s death rather than his relationship to Ivan and to Ivan himself. (I’m not gonna analyze their relationship and Cure and Black Sorrow many others have made threads about that)

How is Vivimeng going to continue his story? I have no idea. But my best guess is that Till is probably going to be given a solo song and/or an MV like the Mizisua one.

I find it fascinating how half of the cast needs the death of their respective duo/ship to be pushed to the next point of their stories lmao. In the same vein it’ll probably be a while before Luka’s or Mizi’s stories end. Mizi is now on her ‘discovering the corruption the world carries’ story after being protected for so long and Luka has his ‘Live with love’ story, either being a redemption arc or his story will end soon with his love, Hyuna.

So I think Danganronpa V3 is about corporation corruption.

I mean, the game is about a killing game being broadcasted to the whole world. There are cameras everywhere and the characters are like actors on a set. (With their memories altered to fit whatever role they are playing.) I mean there were auditions, a setting enclosed from the public and the meteor explanation is something out of a sci-fi set. (Which was executed poorly in my opinion. I'm glad that wasn't real.)

So in the end Shuichi is fighting the corporation itself that turns their slaughter into media for the public to consume. Shirogane blame the public for wanting to watch the showdown between Despair and Hope over and again, which was supposed to be a meta reference to us the audience. (Again, wasn't done too well. I was mostly confused. But it works to put you in a suspense of disbelief.) But I think it was the fault of the corporation itself that saw a game where teenagers were being forced to kill each other and decided to reenact it around, sorry if my math is wrong, fifty times. Fifty times! That would be around 800 teens killed in the name of entertainment! That is so not fair! And cruel!

It was turned it a world wide popular TV show in that universe. The people there are really twisted to want to see teens fighting for their lives. Do none of them watch in horror and just want to see them home safe with their families? Is the corporation who makes the show lying about some details of the show to make sure they don't get shut down? They do kidnap the 'actors' to get the ball rolling.

How long does each killing game last? Ten weeks? Five? So how old is Shirogane if she was there for 50 killing games? She would probably be older than most of the kids participating.

Also for the people participating, we know nothing about their pre-game selves. For all we know, some of them could actually be adults instead of teens. Wait...if there is a criteria for joining, it would be anyone from 15 to 17 which is so much worse! There are teens agreeing to kill each other and be slaughtered.

Why isn't there anyone in that world protesting the killing game? Someone should. Maybe start and activist group...

Controversial inkling and octoling position

I don't think they have scars on their tentacles. I get the artistic appeal and it looks cool (and is cannon if you look close at Captain 3s tentacles there are faint scars)

But...their tentacles are hair remember? It's their hair, it grows, they cut it. Any trauma afflicted to the original hair tentacles wouldn't be on their new ones.

Like if you cut a chunk of your hair that chunk wouldn't be there forever, it wouldn't grow that way. Their hair can get long, look at the hair styles ranging from long to short.

Thats it :^

How Agent 3 got Lil Buddy

As far as I can tell, the best two sources of income are salmon runs and Turf wars, so most likely before the game started Agent 3 was doing both of those two things.

I think during a Salmon Run Agent 3 snuck a golden egg into their stuff so that way they could sell it for more coins but before they could find a place that took golden eggs OTHER than Grizz co. the egg hatched.

So Agent 3 was just like ‘What the fuck do I do??’ While Lil Buddy is sitting there staring at them like “MOTHER/FATHER” and so Lil Buddy ended up like imprinting or whatever and now Agent 3 just kinda has him

I HAVE A THEORY

OK-

what if Moon/Sun never got the afton virus

Cause to me they seem fine.

“But moon tried to kill you”

I’m getting to that stfu

I think Moon (not Sun, just Moon) doubles as a security animatronic. In my mind, he has a similar coding to the FANF 2 band.

He has a database of every worker and attendee at the pizzaplex in his mind, and he has like facial recognition or something, and the reason he’s after Gregory is that 1: it’s past closing time 2: he’s not in the database 3: he’s currently being searched for by Vanny/Venssa.

Cause first of all: Moon’s wires are all over the place. He’s able to find u faster after a certain time in the pizzaplex. He has acess to every door. Why would that be programmed into an animatronic made to put kids to sleep? He shouldn’t be out of the daycare...unless he’s like security puppet.

Doubling as a caretaker and babysitter during hours, and then after hours he goes around the place on his little wire like a weird spider and makes sure everyone who’s not meant to be there is taken care of.

“But he scared the kids!”

I’m sorry but does a 6′4 jester with no eyes telling you to  “Go to sleep” in the dark seem nice to you? YEAH HE’S FUCKING SCARY. He’s scared the kids cause his design is stupid as balls and terrifying.

I also think vanessa never thought to give them the virus cause “It’s a daycare robot how is that gonna help?” because she was never actually a worker there, and kinda...snuck in. Theoretically Moon should have caught her but her info was in the database cause she worked for fazbear, just not as a night guard.

Also whos idea was it to make Sun so fucking hyper? He acts like a 5 year old after having like...fruit punch. It’s to much.

wait wait wait wait

Ok- so i’m going through the owl house hashtag on twitter and only realised it now but-

Wait Wait Wait Wait

THIS SCENE, THIS SCENE RIGHT HERE

Wait Wait Wait Wait

NO. STAFF.

Now some might say that it’s an effect of the illusion and that we can’t see the staff because Gus hid it!

No. No he never HAD IT IN THE FIRST PLACE

Wait Wait Wait Wait
Wait Wait Wait Wait

NO. STAFF. Now i dunno where flapjack is, but he’s not there. Not in staff form at least. I’m guessing he might be with King or hiding in Hunter’s pocket or somethin but I doubt that cause Flapjack kind of has a mind of his own and would of popped out and become a staff the moment the Illusion fell.

Nor does it seem thats likely considering in this scene:

Wait Wait Wait Wait

Where everyone else is doing magic! In this situation Luz would have grabbed a glyph, and Hunter should have-and honestly would have, grabbed Flapjacks staff but during this entire bit he never grabs flapjack. We know he’s a good flyer because of Every Sport in any storm considering that made Willow notice him and helped him ‘save’ the emerald entrails from Darius but not once during the entire scene of Luz being taken away does he get on his staff and fly after her. He noticed only then something was wrong,

Wait Wait Wait Wait

Normally he 100% would have flown after her! I mean it might have to do with him no longer thinking he has to do everything himself or thinking going after Kikimora would also put him in danger but I don’t think so.

But even after the illusion falls Flapjack isn’t there.

Wait Wait Wait Wait

No. Flapjack.

So once again, what the heck happened earlier? Hunter is supposedly a magicless witch but he clearly just did magic.

Soooo...did Belos do something to keep his magic from showing? I wouldn’t doubt it. He wants a good easy to control version of his older brother to be his amazing little solider. He probably kept his magic from showing because all of the past grimwalkers had magic and it made him hard to control it. How would Belos be able to control something he doesn’t even HAVE?? Hunter is made from the following ingredients (according to a book we saw once)

Wait Wait Wait Wait

Now what i want you to pay attention to is the first two. A Galdorstone and Palistrom wood. Now mixing those two should create something crazy strong right? Magical conducting wood that can come to life when carved, and then a Galdorstone, an item so rare that the only time we’ve seen or hear it it has to do with the illusionist grave. It makes someone magic strong as hell!

So how could magic wood and a magic enhancing stone create someone with no magic AT ALL!?? All of the things hunter is made of is magical and boiling isles-ey as fuck but he has no magic??

Buuulllllshitttt

If Belos wanted to control Hunter, the best way to do that would to be to make Hunter feel like he can only trust Belos, and he has to rely on Belos. If Hunter knew he was stronger than Belos that would get to a kids head immediately.

I wouldn’t put it past Belos to do some sick shit to Hunter to make him not have magic anymore. If the Owl Beast curse getting to Eda caused her magic to be corrupted and practically gone, I wouldn’t doubt that theres a curse out there that gets rid of magic for a temporary time. Now that Hunters been away from Belos, the curse isn’t being put on him constantly.

I mean we even know it exists because Lillith went out looking for one!

It might even be a more passive version of the draining spell considering Hunter has a sigil (not to mention the way his hands seem to hurt from the smallest of things he might have the glowy vien thing in his hands specifically)

That gives me another thought- what if Hunter can’t control the magic in his hands and we just guessed he’s magicless cause I don’t remember that ever being dlibertly stated we just kinda guessed. Cause the speed glyph doesn’t seem to need a spell circle just magic of some kind.

TLDR: Hunter has magic, and it’s slowly coming back as Belos isn’t able administer the curse to Hunter, possibly being the draining spell or something. Might not even be magic-less!

Owl house theory, spoilers ahead

So in belos’ memories theres a scene of either a bonfire or someone burning at the stake. Imma say burning at the stake for the sake of this.

So Belos-Phillip ig-is british right?

What happened in britian years ago?

The witch trials.

What if in this universe, the demon and human realm used to be one cohesive world, but because of the humans starting to kill every witch, the witches made their own dimension and dipped. This all happened during Phillips life.

So he as a shitty evil child is like “Oh the witches think they can escape? Hahahaha, No.” So he uses his brother who he knows is dating a witch-Clawthorne-to get to the demon realm. He kills his brother cause....idfk he’s Belos he does shitty things.

He pretends to look for help only to kill the witches who offer it. Now he’s making the sigils to rid them of all their power and ‘evil’ or whatever.

idfk whats up the colllector tho, their a funky dude.

True and in real love no other gem can shatter diamond unless it's another diamond..

Yellow Diamond conspired with Rose to shatter Pink Diamond.

Zircon put it best; there’s no way Rose could have gotten close enough to shatter PD without extreme assistance—Diamond-level assistance.

Yellow Diamond hates the Earth. At first, I thought it was because Pink died there, but it might be deeper than that—she might hate it because it was Pink’s colony, and Blue loved Pink.

Yellow loves Blue, though. It was a love triangle.

Yellow approaches the leader of the Rebellion with a deal: I’ll shatter Pink Diamond, and liberate the Earth for you—but you must take the fall.

So Yellow helped Rose shatter Pink, and told Blue that Rose did it with her sword—except, as we know from Bismuth, her sword CAN’T shatter gems.

To cover her tracks, Yellow planted the Cluster in the Earth. And now, she’s dead set on making Blue think Pink’s death is in the past. (What’s the use of feeling?)

Fallout 4: Where is the Lone Wanderer?*

*a vague conspiracy theory which doesn’t actually answer the question at hand. We all have our own ideas of how the lore should go, and I’m sure yours is very canon-compliant and valid, but this is mine and I have support for it. Looooongpost.

First off: What do we know about the canon Wanderer?

We know they activated Project Purity (or had a companion do it) without the FEV and were inducted into the Brotherhood. We know they’ve met with MacCready (you can’t finish the game if you don’t), and he has dialogue indicating they had further contact. They also took the Brotherhood’s side at Adams Air Force Base.

We don’t know what happened with The Replicated Man, but since the canon Wanderer appears to have good karma, and info from 4 implies Zimmer’s disappearance was more recent than ten years ago, it seems likely they took the boring ending, which secures their membership in the Railroad.

Why aren’t they in Fallout 4?

The Doylist answer is that they’re highly customizable, and so they have no canon appearance, personality, gender, etc. But in-universe? Something happened.

“Accepting outsiders like yourself has proven disastrous in the past.” - Kells

“I've seen other soldiers come and go. Some were brave, some were honest... hell, some were even downright heroic.” - Danse

“Every doctor I've talked to was worthless. [] I don't need them... I need someone like you.” - MacCready

When Duncan first got sick, “someone like you” would have meant the Wanderer. This suggests (to me) that they’re not in the Capital Wasteland anymore. But they’re certainly not in the Commonwealth either.

The weird thing is that the Lone Wanderer is all over this game - they’re the namesake for a male hairstyle, a perk, a DCR song, a motorcycle brand… and the codename of Deacon’s mission to save the Railroad from certain destruction by recruiting the Sole Survivor.

Someday We’ll Find It, the Deacon Connection

Oh yeah, I’m going here. Desdemona’s terminal entries confirm it was always Deacon’s plan to get you onboard and use you to destroy the Institute. There are Railroad lookout posts near 111/Sanctuary and Red Rocket, and of course he followed you in Goodneighbor, Diamond City, and Bunker Hill (at least). His court jester vibe hides it a bit, but he’s manipulating you more than he’s manipulating Desdemona in the intro scene. And do you notice he rarely gives you a firm verbal disapproval unless you’re hurting the Railroad?

What could have caused Deacon’s interest in you, unless he’s made the connection between you and the Lone Wanderer? He’ll vouch for you if you haven’t accomplished anything yet, or even if you’re a Brotherhood member. A Pip-Boyed stranger emerges from a vault in the middle of a crisis, gaining friends, skills, items, and special abilities at a suspicious rate? Probably with the same gender and playstyle as the previous one? Heck, when he first heard the rumors, he probably thought you WERE the Lone Wanderer.

Fallout 4: Where Is The Lone Wanderer?*

There are other indications the Railroad has been in contact with them — Desdemona mentions the Capital Wasteland as their primary destination for synths, and Deacon references Harkness’s recall code. If you refuse to pick a codename, Desdemona even assigns you “Wanderer.”

So what happened, then?

I think the answer lies with the Brotherhood, specifically in Deacon’s hatred of them. Sure, ideology is enough to hate them for, but Deacon sure seems suspiciously happy if you nuke their base of operations. (Some of) his comments on that:

“The Brotherhood... well, I met them on an op in Capital Wasteland a few years back. But now with Elder Maxson... Let's just say, not a fan.”

“That bastard Maxson really screwed them up. The Brotherhood used to be the good guys. Well, goodish.”

[Who’s Elder Maxson?] “He’s a piece of work, is what he is.”

And on his time in the Capital:

“Did I ever tell you about the time I was in Capital Wasteland? Now there's a tale.”

“Capital Wasteland. Exports: purified water, some decent tech, oh, and an insane suicidal cult that worships radiation. Thanks, guys.”

“I miss Capital Wasteland. You can actually drink the water there.”

And a few lines I’ve decided (with no evidence) directly refer to LW:

“Last partner I had wound up going... well, a little insane. I think it was all my show tune medleys.”

[After Maxson orders you to hunt Danse down] “See? This is what the Brotherhood's really about.”

And my favorite: “I’ve been looking forward to kicking the Brotherhood’s teeth in. I owe them.” This line comes before Glory is killed, so he’s not referring to that. The Brotherhood only recently arrived in force in the Commonwealth. He’s talking about something that happened in the Capital Wasteland.

So Here’s What Might Have Happened:

In early 2286, Deacon moves to the Capitol Wasteland for awhile, probably to get a face change and lay low for a bit. He contacts the Lone Wanderer, who has barely heard from the Railroad in nine years. They begin to work together.

Fallout 4: Where Is The Lone Wanderer?*

(In context, this journal entry looks like he’s somehow gathering intel to predict when Vault 111 will open, but I can’t think of a way for him to get that information or know why it’s important, so I’m not going to believe it just yet.)

The Wanderer is still a knight, maybe a paladin. Maxson has been elder for 2-3 years and is monitoring the Institute. Meanwhile, the Lone Wanderer and Deacon are setting up infrastructure to receive escaped synths.

And then the Brotherhood finds out about one of the safehouses. With their limited understanding, they believe that the Institute is holed up there and attack. The Wanderer intentionally throws the mission — maybe disobeys orders, maybe downs a vertibird or collapses a subway tunnel, or maybe even attacks their brothers to protect the synths.

And, well-

Fallout 4: Where Is The Lone Wanderer?*

Either they were killed, or they escaped court martial and execution by a hair’s breadth and fled the Capital, leaving Deacon to believe Maxson had them killed.

There you have it. That’s why they aren’t in Brotherhood dialogue or records. Their accomplishments couldn’t be recognized because they’re a traitor. And that’s why it’s personal for Deacon.

Fallout 4: Where Is The Lone Wanderer?*

What is a Hero’s Cape for?

image

This meta is in response to a comment by @k-isecchis

I’d also like to point out the parallels between Eri and Shigaraki. Eri was left to suffer longer due to strategy. Something that always rubbed me the wrong way about that arc is that besides Mirio and Deku, everyone’s so desperately trying to save her because they knew that was Chisaki’s trump card. Eri’s power is as potentially as destructive as Shigaraki, but she was “lucky” Chisaki was making enough waves for the heroes to notice.

Thank you for pointing out this excellent parallel. This opened my mind to the parallels between the war arc, and the overhaul arc. How both arcs are really about showcasing how massive the divide is between the ideals of hero society “saving people” and hero society’s pragmatic realization “defeating villains”. Once again let’s talk more about hero society underneath the cut.

with the spamton sweepstakes and fangamer spamton q&a there's a lot of interesting lore implications however i would like to make a prediction for chapter 3 & 4 based on nothing but one of the fangamer answers

With The Spamton Sweepstakes And Fangamer Spamton Q&a There's A Lot Of Interesting Lore Implications

[Death/Scythe] and [Puppet/Cat] obviously mean Jevil and Spamton, right? So i think the other two will relate to the other secret bosses. One a thunder based boss with 'light' attacks, possibly stage lights if chapter 3 is tv themed, and a dark boss with star based attacks, whatever that means.

anyways we'll see when the chapters comes out whether i was right or if I'm just talking out of my ass

What's fascinating about Sampo is how contradictory he is.

He seems to draw so much attention to himself, not only in personality but in style, yet can disappear without a sound. Speaking of style, it's so unexpectedly morbid when you think about it. His shoulder pad (?) Looks like a lizard skull, whatever that thing is around his back looks like a spine, even his shirt (if it can really be called that) looks like a stylized ribcage. Heck his whole vibe based on design alone is different from his personality.

He's played up to be motivated by money, but it doesn't take much convincing to get him to do things for you without reward. And I've never seen him ask twice.

He completely avoids getting involved in battles, and it's obviously not due to lack of skill. He obviously knows his way around a blade, based on his knife tricks idle. If you look at his foot work on his normal attack it's perfectly balanced for each strike.

Everything about him is so himbo coded, but he canonacly knows more than he should (ex. Naming a different star system despite being presented as someone from a planet without space travel).

He says so little in so much. He's the character we know the least about despite being the first we meet in Belobog. The cutscene at the end of the Belobog arc seemed to imply that we'd see him again in the storyline and I'm really looking forward to that day.

GUYS! Hey, guys!

You know what was I thinking? About this serum and so on in BTTG? If Waller tells us the truth and Riddler's body was destroyed we couldn't create a serum.... BUT!!! As we remember mr. Freeze was infected too and after we lowered the temperature he definitely was gonna live! That means we possibly could use his blood to create it! A serum! All I'm trying to say is John should still have one virus and if we'd keep our promise about helping Nora mr. Freeze might want to work with us! Besides he needs this serum. And if John would insist I personally gonna help Harley too cause I want, ok :D And geez I can't leave Bane aside.... Sooo I can already imagine how COOOL it's gonna be if we could help each other and than defeat Waller together! Oh man if Telltale only would let me do such crazy things I'm gonna be the happiest fan ever!!! What are you thinking guys?))

any theories/thoughts on the fairies (and maybe great fairies)? like why most games in the downfall timeline (wind waker being an exception) they seem to have human forms, but otherwise they appear as glowing balls of light with wings?

Fairies show up in various forms across the land of Hyrule—at least, that's how they look.

image
image
image

From the drawings we get of LoZ/AoL fairies tend to be your most basic and stereotypical; a little elf girl in a dress with sparkles.

image

A Link to the Past portrays them similarly, though this one has more vibrant hair and thinner wings, with a decent halo.

Wind Waker gives us a LoZ/AoL style fairy again

image

Which gets reused entirely for Four Swords Adventures.

image

But in every other game, we get these.

image

Interestingly enough, though, we're not actually seeing a change in biology, We're seeing the effects of magical duress.

Like you said, most fairies that show their humanoid forms occur in the Downfall Timeline. ALTTP has vibrant pink, then ALBW is more muted, until we finally get to the dull, glow-less LOZ fairies.

image

The glow you see at the tip of their wands is actually what little magic they can summon left, concentrated into a precise point, like a laser. As Hyrule declined, their magic faded, not letting them summon the glow they're best known for any more.

A healthy fairy doesn’t need a wand.

image

In Wind Waker, we also see a decline in fairy power—so much so that by Spirit Tracks, there literally aren't any left; at least, not in New Hyrule. Our big exceptions come from Phantom Hourglass.

image

Ciela, Leaf, and Neri all maintain their vibrancy and luminosity. But they also draw power from what's essentially a minor god in his own right, the Ocean King.

Any Theories/thoughts On The Fairies (and Maybe Great Fairies)? Like Why Most Games In The Downfall Timeline

So they’re outliers, not examples.

In the child timeline, where Four Swords Adventures takes place, we also see the powered down form of a fairy. But in that era, the magic of the world has been robbed, crystalized into force gems that fairies try very hard to absorb power from.

Any Theories/thoughts On The Fairies (and Maybe Great Fairies)? Like Why Most Games In The Downfall Timeline

A fairy’s glow is an indicator of its magical health. The fainter the glow, the harder the fairy has to work just to keep itself aloft, and the more stress it accumulates as it tries to use magic.

Great Fairies, however, are a much clearer indicator of the magical status of a kingdom. The larger and more humanoid the Great Fairy, the stronger the country they reside in’s magic.

Any Theories/thoughts On The Fairies (and Maybe Great Fairies)? Like Why Most Games In The Downfall Timeline

Ocarina of Time is a good reference point to have. These fairies are particularly large and very human-like, and Hyrule (at least from a wildlife point of view) is thriving.

Any Theories/thoughts On The Fairies (and Maybe Great Fairies)? Like Why Most Games In The Downfall Timeline

Wind Waker, however, has an unstable Great Fairy type. The magic in this land is bleeding out and spiraling away, unused and unrestrained as it depletes. These fairies rule a dead world; a sea with no fish but the fishmen, a world with scattered islands and few offerings.

Any Theories/thoughts On The Fairies (and Maybe Great Fairies)? Like Why Most Games In The Downfall Timeline

A Link Between Worlds’ great fairy has enough glow for a halo, and remains humanoid, so the magic is being used and maintained. But she’s also barely bigger than a human, indicating that her power’s weakening.

Any Theories/thoughts On The Fairies (and Maybe Great Fairies)? Like Why Most Games In The Downfall Timeline

And then by The Legend of Zelda, she’s indistinguishable from any other fairy out there.

But Breath of the Wild?

Any Theories/thoughts On The Fairies (and Maybe Great Fairies)? Like Why Most Games In The Downfall Timeline

These Great Fairies are HUGE. They’re the healthiest Great Fairies to date, in part due to their strategic hibernation in their flowers, and they match what we see of Hyrule’s life.

Any Theories/thoughts On The Fairies (and Maybe Great Fairies)? Like Why Most Games In The Downfall Timeline

Yes, Ganon has the Divine Beasts and Guardians on his side. Yes, this place has lost its king. But the country itself is alive is thriving. It’s so full of magic that you can find Koroks in literally every corner of the world.

If I had to hazard a guess, since we never encounter them, I’d say that these fairies are the closest they’ve been to Surface Great Fairies from Skyward Sword.

mitsukou has been lowkey eating my brain (once again) and this will probably sound stupid blabbering but im gonna try to make myself sound convincing. and in my defense this was just a random thought that popped up on my mind.

what if the thing about natsuhiko saying the way for a human to become a supernatural is to become a yorishiro? I mean think about it, what else is sumire other than a supernatural? If she just died normally instead of becoming a yorishiro she would've ended up disappearing along with other girls under the red house.

at first, I thought natsuhiko planned on saying it to kou so it could trigger something but he looks surprised here so I doubt it now but there's still a possibility

i think his face reads as "ooooh an unexpected reaction but I'll take it"

Mitsukou Has Been Lowkey Eating My Brain (once Again) And This Will Probably Sound Stupid Blabbering

even if he was really mean that time he probably really did care about mitsuba someway and was hoping for him to make kou his yorishiro

Mitsukou Has Been Lowkey Eating My Brain (once Again) And This Will Probably Sound Stupid Blabbering

AAAND another reach maybe that's why kou asked him out on a date (other than just wanting to hang out with him, ofc) like so he could maybe get more important to mitsuba and make him his yorishiro!

and get this, if he becomes mitsuba's yorishiro, nene LITERALLY wouldn't be able to destroy him at all, thus allowing her to live!!!! two birds with one stone, if you will

(but you could say then 'wouldn't the broadcasting trio not like that?' which is true but they did they'll do ANYTHING to make yashiro destroy every yorishiro, possibly by threatening her and especially looking at the sumire incident she wouldn't want that to happen again AND THE LOWKEY PARALLELS OF WHAT HAPPENED WITH SUMIRE AND HAKUBO WITH THE MITSUKOU CHAPTER. (with the cannibalism and all))

and it could be another reason why kou was so shocked at him when he asked to be exorcised (cough instead of making him his yorishiro cough)

Mitsukou Has Been Lowkey Eating My Brain (once Again) And This Will Probably Sound Stupid Blabbering

BUUUUUT that is just inherent yapping so that's that. just wanted to get my silly ramblings out there pls dont take it too seriously thank u.

OHHH MY GOD I LOVE YOUR ANALYSIS!!! your predictions are sooo good!!!!!!!

also, idek much about germany culture AT ALL but when people were like "let's theorize where they're from" I was like "isn't it germany" like???? thank u for reaffirming my guess because honestly it was just something out of my ass like its vibes were giving germany idk🔥🔥🔥

Let's talk about the clock keepers boundary!

(warning: spoilers until chapter 124!!)

I've had some guess on where they could be from so let's look at what we have in the manga for now. I will keep things on surface level for the most part but it's just some things I noticed!

The first mention of the town is in chapter 111, where we finally have a view on their boundary.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

A lot of fans already guessed from their clothes that they were not from Japan, this panel definitely confirms it and even points more precizely to a European country, mostly Western Europe. And also a country where Winter with snow exist.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

It's also not an English speaking country, since Akane cannot understand the language and we know he has english classes at school.

Now there are several things we can look at to have more clues!

First, the architecture.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

This type of house is called Timbered framed houses. It’s important to note that the roofs on those houses are really really sharp here. Which means theywere built for snow, so it can slide off the roofs more easily. The trees are also pines, something that can be found in a lot of Europe. (wood was needed to be able to create houses made of wood/with visible Framework( Little note: I know Italy was a guess for a lot of person because of the link to Pinocchio, but Italy main material for houses is stone not wood. And it is also not known for its winter.)

Here we can also see bricks which is something more associated to countries like Germany, Belgium or the Nertherlands, we don't have the colors so we can't guess from which minerals it was made for now.

But we have even more informations when we look at chapter 124!

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

The bridge and tower may be inspired by a fortified city, something that you could find A LOT in Western Europe during the middle age, not a lot of cities still have their entire walls but you can still see it if you go into old medieval towns. We can also see something that looks like a Belfry on several panels. Towers used mostly to indicate each passing hour of the day (may be a campanile or a bell tower (the difference is wether it's linked to religion or not basically)

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

Second! Let's do a little bit of clock making history!

I won't go into details, but there are some countries to point for this. England, The Netherlands and Germany. We already took out England before and we can easily erase Nertherlands from the list with the next step (my favorite one).

The food! I already had my suspicions confirmed with this bonus art from volume 22.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

First of all, they have tea which is not something that was in Europe before the XVII century. But let's look at the sweets they have here.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

Chocolates which look close to Belgian chocolate ( I say Belgian but other countries' chocolate is pretty close to it) , Christstollen Cake, and Spiztbuden.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!
Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

We have even more to look at with the new chapter! And they confirm that it's indeed a stollen cake.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

With all these foods it's now pretty obvious which area the clock keepers are inspired from.

Stollen cakes are German cakes, ginger cookies are from Germany too. I will also add that there is a chance the crescent moon cookies are VanilleKipferl. We have another panel showing Sausages and bread. Only the Almond is something not typical from Germany but which clearly was all over Western Europe with trades.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

Their city already looked like the 'perfect christmas city' you can see in movies, inspired by German culture. And they also mention Mulled Wine which is THE beverage to take in any chritmas market in Europe.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!
Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

Chritmas markets are inspired and coming from Germany first, but I wanna point something more.

My main guess was, Nuremberg, the city where the ancestor of the pocket watch was created, the Nuremberg Egg. It's also a Fortified city and it has forests around it. It's also known for its Ginger cookies!

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!
Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

So Germany would be a great pic, but the more I think about it the more I can also see the link to another region: Alsace.

Alsace is a region from France right now BUT it's a mixt of german and french culture (I will not make a history lesson but it is a place that always switched between France and Germany basically, now it's French).

All the food mentionned before are also made in the Alsace region!

It's situated in the Vosges, a chain of mountains known to have a lot of forets of pines and which is known to have villages like this:

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!
Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

Which were also the main inspirations for movies like Howl's moving castle for example. You can see the similarities between the artchitectures

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

The first ever Chritmas Market was in Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace, when it was German and it spread accross Europe after.

I will now look at something I usually don't do because I exclude Aus from canon but it's just a funny thing to point out.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

This au shows a snow town inspired by ginger bread houses. I just find it funny because Aoi is shown as a baker, with bread (which are not baguette I think, it's way larger here) but with some croissant on her table (disclaimer: Croissant are not french at first, this form here is, but it's from Austria otherwise) And Kako clearly has something similar to a Wine bottle in his hands. This au is the only one featuring them, was given with their volumes and the vibes are really similar to their boundary.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

I would say no matter what it's definitely closer to German culture but I wanted to point out this region which is known for it's Christmas season and its typical houses.

I will mostly say that it's an inspiration from this region of Europe, I don't know if a real country is the reference for it since we don't even know where tbhk takes place, but it's always funny to look at those things :DD

Little bonus:

In a more messy note, the clothes. I put them at the end because besides their hats, I had no idea how to describe it, since it seems pretty typical of what people could wear in winter.

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

I did the research in the other way, to look for German and Alsacian clothing to see if it match and it kinda does but I don't think it's speficific to this region. The girls wear classic white Charlotte and big clothes with layers for Winter.

The clock keepers clothes are different, it looks like a mixt of Japanese and western European clothing (especially from england).

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!
Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

Their main outfits for Akane and Kako really just look like a typical waistcoast/costume you can find in the XIXth century in Europe and Mirai's seems more inspired by a mixt of a Kimono with several layers(she also has sandals and frills) and a coat? The little knots Kako and Akane have on their coats look like something inspired from Mizuhiki knots too (I actually saw a costume with those exact same knots in a museum but I didn't take a picture rip)

Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!
Let's Talk About The Clock Keepers Boundary!

So I would say they probably changed slowly their attire when they arrived in Japan, we don't know since how many times they are here, but we know that what is happening in the deeper place of the boundary is linked to memories previous to their arrival. According to their origin I think we can say that it's pretty sure they arrived after the Meiji/during the Meiji Era in Japan (1868/1912), since it's a this time Japan mostly imported Western culture (for clothing here, the first contact was before this. And note: it was mostly rich people who dressed like this). And If we look at some others dates like the things they are eating, used to have or even their clothes, I would say it's more probably the Meiji Era and not in the XVs.

Another note is that their clocks have the numbers written in japanese on it (in the og version but it maye just be so it's readable for the japanese readers? idk if it's a choice or not).

I haven't searched much on their clothes but it was still something I wanted to note here ^^

THEORY TIME!

Soooo for the audio post on the wkm tumblr could have been a hint to the séance. The squeaky door to her room, the lighting of candles, us/pov scribling down what we saw to her. Maybe it was just a hint to the future and a nod to the seer...

Was Looking Into The Portion Of The Script We Were Given And Started Thinkin

Was looking into the portion of the script we were given and started thinkin

JFK’s THIRD term, and two variations of a movie, and the 2000’s “new york city” olympics

I remember seeing a synopsis for s4 floating around, something about a group of people who didnt believe their timeline was correct? That would make sense with people buying “alternate” kinds of items?

We know that even the slightest change in the timeline would change a multitude of things (ie. the butterfly effect)

Perhaps this is how we’re introduced to the new group that the synopsis was talking about?
