Your personal Tumblr journey starts here
(IN MY OPINION & WHAT WORKS FOR ME). WHY DO YOU NEED SELF WORTH? to develop CONFIDENCE, prevent yourself from being manipulated & to CONTROL YOUR MIND.
you can also share your own experiences! i would love to read about other peopleâs point of view :)) donât be scared, we are all connected as beings inhabiting earth~; i love everyone !! đŻââïžđ
i do not care if iâm being too loud, cringe or hyperactive. as long as it causes no harm (mentally!), you do not need to care about other peopleâs opinions. though your actions need to be REASONABLE. DO NOT neglect your duties as a human!! i love being silly in class, itâs nice to vibe around while spreading love~!
you do not do things that make you feel like shit. do not validate habits that drain your energy & bring you discomfort. addiction is bad, kids. so, treat yourself nicely & do things that benefit you! đđȘŽ you are a plant, and you WILL water yourself with CLEAN water.
for me, i find comfort in eating, doom scrolling & fortune telling, but it makes me feel DRAINED. nevertheless, i still do it because i have yet to identify the CAUSE of my addiction: my NEED TO SELF SABOTAGE & NEED FOR VALIDATION. to treat yourself well, provide YOURSELF with the VALIDATION you need. nothing will be found outside yourself, what you need can always and will only be found within.
i dont know why, but eating healthily (veggies) give me such confidence and comfort! it is so therapeutic for me to eat veggies. you also have to identify what food makes you feel like shit. for me, it's cookies and snacks. AVOID WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE SHIT!! unless you do not mind feeling like shit. as they say, you ARE WHAT YOU EAT! reward yourself for having an awesome day with eating Healthy~ Show ya body that u Love em!!!
So, if you haven't checked out my tips for volume, I recommend doing that, but if you're here to find out my one tip, stick with me. When I wrote that I was just starting to get curls on the top of my head, but it was only today evening I truly realized what was holding me, or my hair back. Plopping. Yep, you heard it right. Plopping. It's not that plopping is bad- It's extremely convenient and a great way for your hair to dry faster- But when your hair is bunched up like that, it also gets pressed down causing the roots to flatten, and there's pretty much no coming back once that's gone. The fact that I have coarse, oily and low porosity hair may all have an impact in this, but for me it just doesn't work. When I stopped this I got immediate results, but I never realized just why until now. Instead of plopping, just micro-plop, it's that easy!
So, if this is something you are struggling with, I suggest avoiding it and seeing how much of a difference it makes.
Hope you all are having an amazing day, and remember, you're all beautiful!!
The Curly Girl Method is something that varies so much from person to person. Some people get results after a few weeks, and some don't get them until 6 months later. I'm going to tell you the only secret you need to know to get immediate success.
I've broken this into 2 simple parts.
1. Research Research Research!
The first step to success is doing A LOT of research. This can be anything from products to techniques to routines. This step works even better if you do it before you start your CG journey so you have a solid plan!
2. DO NOT Research!
Now before you click off because of the MASSIVE contradiction, just hear me out. Once you've done all your research and have done a few wash days, you want to stop researching and watching videos. This is not just for the fun of it, it's vital so you can develop your own techniques instead of copying someone else. Do you catch my drift? I learnt this only about a month or two after starting the CGM. I was wondering why I didn't get volume and beautiful curls, and it was because I was copying other peoples routines. Once I forgot about that and just experimented, doing what I thought my hair would work best with, I got AMAZING results, specifically in regard to the application of products.
I hope this really helps you as much as it did for me!
If you're anything like me, then volume is probably something you've struggled with when starting your curly girl journey, or maybe it's something you still struggle with? There's a bunch of different products out there to help, but if you're on a budget or don't want to spend any more, look no further!
Just after washing your hair, scrunch as much of the water as you can out with your hands.
If your hair gets oily easily, don't apply mousse or gel directly near your roots. This will weigh them down.
When applying mousse/gel, flip your hair to one side, then apply. Then do the same to ther other side and lastly do it upside down.
After doing your final steps after your wash (for me that is after mousse) do NOT touch your hair too much, especially near the root. This flattens mine and they don't curl up well after!
By cheap alligator clips for your hair (the double prong ones). These only cost a few dollars and are really helpful when it comes to lifting up those gorgeous curls at the roots.
Don't over do it with the plopping. I find that this can flatten my roots.
Pineapple your hair overnight. This creates volume and there's tons of tutorials on YouTube on how to do it.
If you need your hair to look great next-day then I have the perfect trick that always works. Wash it the day before your event, and instead of scrunching out the mousse/gel, leave it in and pineapple your hair overnight. Then on the next day, scrunch it out an you'll be sure to have amazing curls that hold for days!
When scrunching out the crunch, do it with your hair flipped over to the side instead of upside down. I have no idea why this works, but my hair started having amazing results after I did this.
Apply a little bit of hair oil in scrunching motions to lift it up. This also helps control frizz very well. Make sure to not apple to roots.
I really hope that this has been helpful and that you guys can learn a few tips and tricks that have really helped me along my curly girl journey so far! Thank you so much for supporting this blog! â€â€â€
1. Don't buy tons of products and spend heaps of money, just a co-wash and mouuse or gel works great, and you can exand as you go!
2. Use a scalp brush! These things are miracles- especially if you have really oily hair like me! They also will also cut extend the number of days between your washes!
3. Just use a cotton t-shirt for drying. Many people invest in a perfect hair care towel, but why not just use what you've got?
4. For great curl clumps, use your hands to micro-plop as much water as you can out of them when you're in the shower, and then apply mousse or gel and micro-plop again.
5. I get great results out of washing my hair in the evening and putting it up in a pineapple when it's not fully dry. This keeps the mousse and volume in so when you wake up, it's not only dry but the scrunching gives you AMAZING curls. I never used to do this but now I love it!
6. You don't need a satin pillowcase or bonet. Literally just pineapple your hair in the night and your hair will be as good as new in the morning!
7. Don't tire yourself out with the CGM. It's easy to get lost in a spiral of possibilities but if you read my previously post, you'll see that it's so simple to do if you keep it that way!
So, I hope you've learnt something from this and I can inspire you and help you out on your curly girl journey â€
First of all, thank you very much for your great efforts and your many tips. I take everything you wrote very close to my heart, thank you very much. I've already tried to paint with watercolors, but everything is always vague, as you said, because I just didn't have the right paper for it. So Iâm going to buy myself a real watercolor sketchbook. I already have brushes and all that stuff, but they are so worn out that I will probably have to buy new ones. I also love to just start drawing in my old little sketchbook without knowing what you are actually doing and at some point a nice drawing will come out. I have already painted a lot on canvas with acrylics and have often oriented myself on videos.
So this thing with Bob Ross or other artists that I can orientate myself on is a very good idea. I often look on the internet to see what I could paint and sometimes I watch videos. I didn't know Bob Ross then, so thank you for this :].
I also got the idea to paint with ink. Not necessarily with colored, but with normal black one. I still have a lot of them.
I also look for the tablet, I don't want to spend that much money because I have to try myself out. (If you know what I mean ;) ) But I'll definitely take a look at this Samsug tablet, because I've already heard that it is supposed to be very good. Thank you in any case, you really helped me a lot. I really appreciate that you made every effort to help me.
Of course you helped not only me, but also many others.
THANK YOU :3
Have an amazing day!

Addendum: Actually, my mom just came to my house and told me that she knows Bob Ross. Unfortunately not personally, hehe ;3 But just now I did understand how famous he actually is. HAHAHA, well now I know him too, so.. ;D
Hey you out there :^
I would like to practice my hobby of painting even more than I already do. I love to paint with pen and paper in my old little sketchbook, but I would like to do more now. I would like to paint as beautifully as, for example, heikala or snakequeen7 do it. (I follow them here on Tumblr - what you people are invited to do as well, they paint really magically beautiful ^^) I generally sketch very messy and with a lot of lines and strokes. I have read that Heikala also uses colored ink for painting instead of watercolors. Thatâs very smart and I think Iâll give it a try. Iâm also thinking about starting to paint on a tablet. Because as I said, since I sketch very âmessyâ it might help to draw on a tablet with a special app and an electronic pencil (idk how that thingies are called :] ), where I can also use special color effects, etc. How do you see it? Do you have any tips and tricks for me? With drawings you simply bring a piece of your imagination to life - you make it a little more realistic. And I would love to be able to do it as well as many guys like me who like to paint and draw in their free time.
Have a wonderful day

Study smarter this school year! We asked scientists, engineers, astronauts, and experts from across NASA about their favorite study tips â and they delivered. Here are a few of our favorites:
Find friends that are like-minded and work together to understand the material better. Trading ideas with a friend on how to tackle a problem can help you both strengthen your understanding.
Find a quiet space or put on headphones so you can focus. You might not be able to get to the International Space Station yet, but a library, a study room, or a spot outside can be a good place to study. If itâs noisy around you, try using headphones to block out distractions.
Donât burn yourself out! Take a break, go for a walk, get some water, and come back to it.

Writing Tip!
Behavior is a hard thing to nail down with humans, though their are tricks for it. One I learned is that if a character is going to lie make a scale from one to ten and rate how dense other characters are. From their youâll be able pin point who sees through the lie and who doesnât.
Itâs over, why are you still reading?
Got another writing tip for whoever wants it!
Before finishing up dialogue try reading what you have out loud. Does it feel natural? Would you say this in front of someone else? If no to both itâs a good idea to re-do the dialogue.
Writing tip done.
Hereâs a tip for those who are new to writing characters!
Characters who actually feel real are hard to weight without experience! Try writing characters based on the people around you first. Itâs easier to write about someone youâve talked to before!
Writing tip over.
Basic Structure
There are a few ways to structure dialogue. These are the most common ways to structure a line, although I havenât seen 7 in a very long time.
âThe dogâs outside. Heâs finally stopped barking,â Anne said.
âThe dogâs outside. Heâs finally stopped barking,â said Anne.
âThe dogâs outside,â Anne said. âHeâs finally stopped barking.â
âThe dogâs outside,â said Anne. âHeâs finally stopped barking.â
Anne said, âThe dogâs outside. Heâs finally stopped barking.â
âThe dogâs outside.â Anne sighed with relief. âHeâs finally stopped barking.â
Said Anne, âThe dogâs outside. Heâs finally stopped barking.â
Itâs a good idea to avoid using the same method twice. Two or three or four (!) straight lines of 1âs âX saidâ or 6âs sentences broken up by a dialogue will sound strange.
Notice how the dialogue tag (âAnna saidâ and variations thereof) only goes in an area that does not impede the flow of dialogue. In the case of 3, 4, and 6, the dialogue tag or action actually enhances the periodâs long pause. Only place dialogue tags at the beginning or end of a phrase, or where there would normally be a period, semicolon, colon, comma, or other punctuation indicating rest.
Dialogue Tags
A dialogue tag is a word + the person saying it. âHe saidâ, âshe saidâ, âthey saidâ, etc. are all dialogue tags. The most common verb in a dialogue tag is âto sayâ (said, says, say, etc.) A lot of authors like it for its simplicity and unobtrusiveness. For those who insist âsaid is deadâ (implying âsaidâ is so bland it shouldnât be used anymore), there are a bajillion other dialogue tags to play with.
Some verbs should not be used as dialogue tags.
âIâm really grateful,â Kiandra smiled
âThis is ridiculous,â Aelwen sighed.
A dialogue tag is there to tell the reader how the character says something. You cannot say something smilingly or sighingly. You might say it happily or regretfully.
âIâm really grateful,â Kiandra said with a smile // âIâm really grateful,â Kiandra said happily
âThis is ridiculous,â Aelwen said. He sighed sadly // âThis is ridiculous.â Aelwen sighed.
Actions are not dialogue tags.
Adverbs
Adverbs are the little â-lyâ words you add at the end of dialogue tag to show how a character is saying something.
âI donât know,â Vanhi said uncertainly.
âI canât wait!â Quetzel said excitedly.
Excitedly and uncertainly are the adverbs in this case. There is a list of adverbs here and here. Donât get too hooked on adverbs. Theyâre great for helping when the meaning of a line is unclear.
Take this sentence:
âI love you,â Mirage said.
By itself this sentence isnât much. You have no idea how Mirage is saying it, and it could be hundreds of different ways. Now modify that.
âI love you,â Mirage said desperately.
âI love you,â Mirage said sarcastically.
âI love you,â Mirage said joyfully.
âI love you,â Mirage said defiantly.
Now you know exactly how Mirage is saying it.
Recently, thereâs been a movement to do away with adverbs or to use adverbs sparingly. Most adverbs are unnecessary. You can guess how a character is saying something by context. For example,
Myrtle kissed Mirageâs cheek and pressed a chocolate into her hand.
âI love you,â Mirage said.
You can assume that Mirage is saying this in loving or affectionate voice without the adverb being there. You can also use different dialogue tags to express the same emotion.
âI love you,â Mirage yelled
Vs.
âI love you,â Mirage said loudly.
Finally, adverbs sound funny if you use them one after another.
âI despise you,â Makai said sharply.
âI donât think youâre much to look at, either,â Hagan said fiercely.
âI canât believe Falk put us on this stupid date,â Makai said crossly.
If youâre addicted to adverbs, restrict them to every ten dialogue tags. If you arenât addicted to adverbs, then just use them whenever you feel you need them. You can always delete them later if you think theyâre unnecessary.Â
Abandoning Your Dialogue Tags
There are some cases where you can forgo using dialogue tags altogether. When two people are speaking with each other in a natural give-and-take pattern, the audience knows that they are the ones speaking, and in what order they are speaking. See below.
âThe dogâs outside,â Anne said. âHeâs finally stopped barking.â
âI donât understand why heâs so frightened of the vacuum,â said Brenda.
âIf you were the size of a Chihuahua, I think a lot of things would frighten you,â Anne said.
âWas that a crack about my height?â
âShorty!â
You can tell Brenda said, âWas that a crack about my height?â because Anne spoke before her, and you can tell Anne said, âShorty!â because Brenda spoke before her. Do not use this trick if more than two people are speaking at a time. You could introduce a third person like this:
âWas that a crack about my height?â
âShorty!â
âCut it out,â Dan said crossly.
âCanât we have a little fun?â Anne asked.
âYouâre so annoying.â
Since we specified itâs Anne and Dan speaking in turn, it can only be Dan who says, âYouâre so annoying.â

Practical tip for those dealing with wildfire smoke now: you can make a very effective air filter for a reasonable amount of money using a box fan & one of those filters meant for your furnace.
Also, I've managed to pick up 2 of the box fans for very cheap/free from yard sales. Make sure you get a filter rated for wildfire smoke, I think this one cost about $20.
These make a huge difference in the indoor air quality.

Iâve lost (and gained, and lost, and gained, and lost) a lot of cumulative weight. Iâve been obsessing over my weight and going on poorly informed fad diets since before I hit puberty; in the past 3 years, Iâve weighed 98 pounds and 158 pounds. Right now Iâm in the middle, where Iâm supposed to be for my height and build. Saying you lost 60 pounds in fun, but it wasnât achieved in a healthy way and it happened way too fast to be sustainable.Â
Still, it helped me learn a lot about my body. After a lifetime of dieting, I know in at least the most basic terms what does and doesnât work for me. None of this information is revolutionary, and itâs all immensely subjective. Every body is different, but through a stupid amount of trial and error, I know a lot about mine!Â
Some of this information might be helpful, but take it with a grain of salt- if something doesnât feel right to you, it probably isnât.Â

Didnât work: counting caloriesÂ
The âconventional logicâ approach of calories in/calories out doesnât hold as much scientific merit as you might think, mainly because the kind of calories you consume (ie, the kind of food) changes the way your body processes it. Fed Up is an imperfect documentary, but it does a good job of showing the way the food industry has pushed this mentality to distract consumers from the poor nutritional content of their food.Â
For me, the most significant effect of counting calories was that it made me obsess about calories. I thought about food more often, so I ended up eating more. When I went over my (fairly arbitrary) limit, I felt like a failure, even if the quality of my diet was better that day. It encouraged me to eat more lower- calorie processed foods and to skimp on servings of bread or meat to make up for snacks that didnât give me anything valuable.Â
Note: I found that my problem was more about the quality/content of the foods I chose, but I have a few friends that swear they can only eat a healthy diet through calorie counting, because they take big portions and snack constantly if they donât. Both of these techniques have a place, especially if youâre trying to lose weight at the recommendation of your doctor, but counting calories definitely wasnât helpful for me.Â
Worked better: cutting (most) calories out of my drinksÂ
This is probably the best small change you can make in your diet. Iâm not super strict about this- I love soda and Iâll have one at a restaurant without needing to self-flagellate. I donât usually drink more than once or twice a week, so I havenât even cut out alcohol. Sticking to water and water only would be healthier, but I donât find that one soda will set me on a binge, so I donât worry too much about having it occasionally. Mainly, this was about changing my mindset to sugary drinks being an âoccasionalâ thing.Â
In my first year, for example, I was obsessed with Vitamin Water, which was really cheap with my meal plan. I probably had 2 a day- that equals 240 calories and 58 grams of sugar for something that did essentially zero for me nutrition-wise. This is one of the reasons I donât find counting calories all that effective- looking at 240 calories, I can match that to a couple of apples or a few slices of toast and see it as a fine option. Looking at 58 grams of sugar, I see something unreasonably bad for me that I really donât want to have very often.Â
Another big change I made in this area was switching from coffee to tea. Keep in mind, I used to drink a lot of coffee, and I took it with milk and a ton of sugar. At its worst, when I started to develop a cappuccino craving, my daily intake would consist of a morning cup of coffee with at least 3 teaspoons of sugar, and 2 large cappuccinos with 4 sugar packets each. I know, it was a problem. That was like, 13 teaspoons a day just to tolerate my coffee. I was still incredibly active- at the time I was working 8 hours a day as a gymnastics coach- but my body just couldnât work off that amount of sugar.Â
I didnât want to give up caffeine altogether, so I switched to tea- first to black tea, with milk and sugar (I think itâs gross clear), then eventually to green tea, which I actually enjoy.Â
Didnât work: exercising hard once or twice a weekÂ
Obviously working out vigorously is better than doing it half-assed, but I fell into this mental trap for a long time. If I couldnât be at the gym for at least an hour, I felt like I was wasting my time. The problem with this mindset is that it encourages you not to work out. Even 15 minutes of exercise is better than nothing, but if you view it as less than a workout, youâre more likely to do nothing.Â
If you donât exercise very much, working out hard every day just isnât realistic. Even if it doesnât zap your motivation, it will make you very, very sore, which will in turn make it harder to drag yourself to the gym the next day. Lack of results results and inevitably pulled muscles eventually discouraged me from this technique, but it took me some time to accept this as a reason to change my approach. Mostly I saw soreness as a punishment for past laziness, so I didnât try to make my routine easier for myself. Being tough and working through pain is great, in theory, but realistically, Iâm not an Olympian; this mindset was unnecessary for my goals, and in the long run it made me less active.Â
It was hard to make the switch, but eventually I found that I had more success with consistency than intensity. Plus, I found I was more likely to increase my intensity automatically- when I exercised every day my workouts got gradually more difficult, but when the workout started off hard, I was more likely to give up. Even if I didnât, my self perception was much more negative after my intense workouts, because I was holding myself to an unrealistic standard. Setting ambitious goals is great, but if you donât break them down into small steps, youâre more likely to abandon them.Â
Worked better: exercising moderately every dayÂ
If there are two things I hate, itâs consistency and moderation- so you can imagine how much I used to hate working out gently every day. Iâm embarrassed to admit how many times I have tried to put doable, everyday workout plans into action only to abandon them two weeks later. Still, I have only ever achieved results by working out consistently. Even two hours of sweating buckets at the gym wasnât enough when I was only doing it once or twice a week, and that was so frustrating!
By contrast, working out for as little as 15 minutes daily made a visible difference, and I found my fitness level growing rapidly. Plus, it was easy to track my progress, so even small increases felt like victories. The American Council on Exercise agrees that moderate, regular exercise is best, and only âmore fit individualsâ should try to save time by opting for less frequent but more vigorous workouts.Â
The technique Iâve currently adopted (mostly based on an amalgamation of different pinterest challenges, tbh) is simple and easy enough that I can do it with a torn calf muscle:Â
1 minute plank, 30 second side plank (each side), 1 minute superman hold and 30 second hollow body hold, gradually increasing the times of each balance
This is insanely easy! It barely looks like a workout! But itâs helped me build back strength in my shoulders and triceps, and it engages my core, quads and glutes enough to get my blood pumping and my muscles loose.Â
Didnât work: juicingÂ
I have always been a juice fiend. My parents (like many) banned soda but not juice, since, in theory, itâs healthy. It took me a really long time to believe that it wasnât. Even if you donât believe that juice is bad for you, you should probably hop off the juicing bandwagon. The logic that I bought into for a long time was that by juicing, I would consume way more fruits and vegetables than normal. The problem is that I wasnât actually consuming them, at least not the way they were meant to be eaten. Produce has a ton of fibre, which you completely eliminate when you scoop all that gross pulp out of your juicer.Â
Some nutritionists will try to convince you that since juicers only filter out the insoluble fibre, youâre not missing out on anything essential. First all of, some fibre does remain- but itâs a very small amount. A raw orange, for example, normally contains 3 grams of fibre; the fresh juice of one only has 0.2. Second, just because it has a negative prefix attached to it, it doesnât mean that insoluble fibre is bad or unnecessary- it just means that it doesnât dissolve in water. In fact, of the 20-35 grams of fibre adults should consume a day, roughly 3:1 should be insoluble fibre. It helps our bodies move the bulk of our food through our digestive system, controls our intestinal pH level and prevents constipation.Â
Finally, without the fibre of fruit to slow digestion, the glucose in fruit juice is quickly absorbed, giving you a sugar rush comparable to a can of soda. Juicers tout âfast absorptionâ as a benefit, but mostly what you absorb is a huge hit of sugar. The amount of sugar in a piece of fruit is rarely a concern to nutritionists, both because itâs usually mitigated by the fibre, and because itâs hard to consume that much fruit. Enter the juicer, which needs roughly 32 stalks of celery to fill a 16oz glass. Celery is a low-sugar vegetable, but stripped of all that insoluble cellulose, a 16oz glass of pure celery juice contains a whopping 32 grams of sugar. For reference, the American Heart Association recommends limiting your intake to 28 grams a day (24 for women, 36 for men).Â
Worked better: making my own dessertsÂ
And like...a lot of desserts. Like I said before, I have a huge sweet tooth. I (mostly) believe the paleo people when they tell me that if I cut out all sugar my craving would fade, but is it really worth it? To me, right now, it totally isnât. I did want to cut down on my intake of packaged foods, though, so for a few years in university I baked all the time. This was actually awesome and I should do it again. It made my housemates love me, and once I accumulated the ingredients, I also found it way less expensive than buying pre-made snacks or desserts.Â
I should mention that this wasnât low-fat baking: I didnât do anything to control the amount of butter, white flour or sugar I used. This isnât ideal for weight loss, but it surprised me how much I was able to consume without the negative effects that usually accompany eating processed baked goods and ice cream. Michael Pollan said it best:Â âthe best indicator of a healthy diet is whether it was cooked by a human being or a big corporationâ. Even if youâre loading up on fatty ingredients, your triple chocolate brownies will probably contain less sugar (and far fewer unhealthy chemicals) than a calorie-wise dessert made in a factory.Â
When Iâm not on a weird diet, I will snack. Itâs a thing. I donât think itâs awful, and I would encourage you to try making snacks/desserts that suit you and your diet before trying to cut them out all together. Unless your doctor has advised you to cut out all sweets, then fighting against these natural cravings (rather than finding a healthier way to satisfy them in moderation) is more trouble than itâs worth.Â

- P R E G N A N C Y. THE BIGGEST FUCKING BIRTH CONTROL EVER. CHILDREN ARE LOUD. AND MESSY. AND SO EXPENSIVE. THEY NEED CONSTANT ATTENTION. THEY WONT EAT WHEN YOU WANT THEM TO. YOUâLL CHANGE THOUSANDS OF DIAPERS. YOUâLL HAVE TO GET UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT TO BRING THEM TO THE HOSPITAL WHEN THEY HAVE A FEVER OF 103 AND THEN PAY FOR THE HOSPITAL BILLS. PREGNANCY IS PAINFUL. CHILDREN ARE ALSO ASSHOLES.
- PULLING OUT DOESNT WORK. PRECUM CAN CONTAINS TRACES OF SEMEN WHICH CAN MAKE ITS WAY INTO THE EGGS.
- PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO ANYONE WITH A PENIS WHO COMPLAINS ABOUT BEING TOO BIG FOR A CONDOM. THEY ARE LIARS. OR HAVE DANGEROUSLY HUMONGOUS DICKS THAT SHOULD REALLY GET IT CHECKED OUT BECAUSE AT THAT RATE IT SHOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO WALK. ITâLL BE LIKEÂ A THIRD FUCKING LEG DUDE HONESTLY.

You guys help me keep TheoryofMagick running and bring major appreciative vibes to this happy Green Witch! :>
So you want to go stargazing...and you have the perfect night and location picked out...the question is: What do you bring? What do you wear? Should you bring food? Drinks? Chairs? A backpack?Â
Well, you've come to the right place. Prepare to have all your questions answered here!
Generally, the best nights for stargazing are colder ones or you'll be up at higher altitudes in the middle of the night, so dress cozily! Check the weather forecast before heading out and dress appropriately, with a nice, warm jacket, pants (shorts are probably a no-no), a beanie, and gloves depending on where you're going. It never hurts to have backup extra layers stored in the car as well.
Obviously, bring your telescope! If you don't have one, no worries, you can bring binoculars, borrow a telescope from your nearby observatory, or just go watch the stars with your naked eye--I promise it won't be any less breathtaking.Â
But if you're planning on bringing your telescope, make sure to bring a beach towel or something else to place your telescope on--a plastic tub as a base works well too for telescopes that don't have tripods. Also, make sure to have something handy to clean your lens with, just in case it gets dusty or windy.Â
It's best to avoid looking at your phone or any white lights to help your eyes adjust to the darkness and see the stars better, so pack a red light torch and activate red light on your phone screen so if you need to check your phone for any reason, or to access an astronomy app, you don't blind your eyes with the white light.Â
This is all based on preference, but it's always fun to have a small campfire and roast s'mores while drinking hot chocolate. Depending on how long you plan to be stargazing, prepare drinks (have a few water bottles on hand just in case) and some snacks and have a good time talking, watching the stars, and snacking with others.Â
Make sure to have extra power chargers--portable batteries, power tanks, a pack of batteries, etc.--just in case anything runs out of power, especially if you're in a remote location.Â
A first-aid kit is important because you never know what might happen or when someone will need a band-aid. Keep a small first-aid kit in your car, stocked with (at the very least)Â band-aids (large and small size), Neosporin, gauze, and clean anti-bacterial wipes.
If it's summertime, it's probably also a smart idea to invest in some mosquito or bug spray, or get bug-repelling bracelets to keep the bugs from spoiling your night.Â
You are set to go stargazing, so get out there and have a fantastic time!
I want to start Hellenistic polytheism but I don't know much, any tips? What do I do? I have so many questions
1 - Make lists. No you will not remember if you let it float around in your head, so write it down! Itâs much more easier to keep things organized when theyâre written or typed, so make sure those ideas of yours get on lists.
2 - Confirm allergyâs of all the guests coming. To make sure what to serve and what not to, you should keep tabs on everyoneâs allergyâs. Warn people of them before they come, and keep epipens nearby just in case.
3 - Make sure you are allowed to place eggs where you have spots planned. Ask your neighbor before you litter eggs on their front yard for example. If they arenât ok with it, youâll have to learn to take a no and hide them somewhere else!
4 - For gods sake please donât use eggs with the two little holes in the top. Since youâre placing them outside with candy in them, this is a prime opportunity for bugs to sneak in and infect the candy with germs. Plus imagine eating a bug, yuck!
5 - Have your guests clean up after themselves. Yes I know this is a very basic, common, and standard household rule. But if your guests donât remember, gently remind them. After all, no one is there maid here.
I know this is old but hereâs to having good Easters everyone!
