REALLY hate to see these several comments under grian’s new hc ep 28 about “yeah, looks like joel left a mark with these intros on grian and mumbo”.

first of all, that’s just not, second of all, that’s just upsetting.

grian and mumbo have already had several intros before in this season, they have their own lore and own styles for these intros for a reason. grian is very sensitive to his ideas and their creation (he talked about this in the context of the ideas for the life series before), mumbo has been working as professional cinematographer for several years now. grian even had similar lore intros/outros in previous seasons. but it just so happens that both grian and joel have clearly been watching the “severance” series lately, so both their last intros referencing that. and such comments, mostly the wording, simply devalue a person's whole work because of comparison with someone else.

imagine you're doing a cool project, and then someone say about your work that “well, it’s like [name]’s style”. sure, great!

pls be more mindful about the wording of your comments.

I have this recurring dream where I'm in a bathroom or locker room with a nonsensical layout and dark, green tiles. There's not blood or a figure, just this idea that I need to leave now or I might never leave at all. There are no posters, no personal belongings, nothing but smooth tile and a horrible sense of dread. The corners are dark. Something is on its way.

This took me three weeks! Granted i coulda been done 2 weeks ago if I hadn't procrastinated but listen, I work 10 hours everyday for 4 days straight every week when i finally get to be measly 3 day break all I wanna do is relax so sue me!

Their designs are simple yes, but as much as I LOVE detailed designs I actually wanna draw these guys more and I know i wont if their designs were too complex

Also I'm angry at Zane cuz his design is what kept me stuck for a WHILE. Kai's sketch was the hardest at first cuz i didn't have a decent pose in mind but then out of the fucking blue Zane's outfit started giving me complications. I went through like three different outfits with his before landing on this so I'm mad at him rn

This Is definitely gonna become one of my two main aus cuz i have a LOT of thoughts about it!

Just a psa for fic writers who use the “trauma bond” tag, please make sure you’re using it correctly. A trauma bond is not two people who experience similar trauma and bond over it. It’s a carefully curated, manipulative bond between abuser and victim to keep the victim coming back because of the addictive highs and lows that come with abuse.

If you want to tag two characters bonding over shared trauma, a good substitute tag would be “bonding over shared trauma.” Trauma bonding is, by definition, an abusive relationship and may steer people who have experienced it away from your fic. Please spread the word and happy writing!
