[Neon speaking] Some various thoughts and rambling about how much I like to catalog things about our system and my experience being front
--
I've started the painstaking process of cataloging/moving information about our 400+ member system from where we've been keeping it since our awakening (discord), to plain files and folders on our computer, and good god this is going to take a WHILE.
I'm having to remind myself that the template for information on each person doesn't HAVE to be filled out all the way, because sometimes specific details just don't exist ^^' but I do love having completed lists...
Related, I had the idea of making a form/survey that new headmates could fill out with basic information they know about themselves as a possible grounding activity, and partially because I like having things to put in their profile and not having to bug them later or when they're fronting. I'm the host and front like. 98% of the time, so when someone else does actually front our brain is VERY determined to keep me fully awake the entire time, as much as I wish I could go to sleep for a bit like most of the others do when not fronting. It usually leads to dysphoria and confusion for the others fronting when my train of thought is treated as a priority and just does not stop. I've considered that I may need to invest some time into in system communication and facilitating even small short switches to get our brain used to others being awake and talking again, because a few years ago we switched far more and felt more comfortable doing it. It was a much more stressful time for us so I suspect thats why, but we still miss it.

I'm having a strong velociraptor shift (jurassic park specifically) at the moment and it feels great, EXCEPT the feelings of the upraised talons on my feet 'clipping' into things, and having extra fingers that feel extremely out of place ):/ not to mention how it feels like my tail is clipping through our clothes. grr
I love feeling more like myself but its so viscerally uncomfortable to feel like my body is stuck inside objects it can't even interact with physically
[Neon speaking] This is a great guide, and there's something I'd like to add/comment about to hopefully help!
For some people counting down can be distracting or stressful in it of itself, and may not work for some. If counting down is just distracting to have to focus on, having an audio of counting down either from youtube or recorded by oneself can be helpful, sort of like a guided meditation!
If counting down is stressful/scary because it feels like something bad is going to happen (nothing will), one could try switching to counting up instead! Starting at 1, by 10-20 visualizing oneself, 30-60 listening to see if anyone is getting your attention, etcetera detailed in the post above.
It's important to cater to one's own individual needs/a system's needs, remember you can adapt guides to how you need them, while being aware of the base guide itself. Good luck! :]
The DIY Headspace guide is finally done! This is a neat little guide for designing your own space. Here is the Pinterest board I am maintaining, if you are having trouble typing in the link yourself.

[Neon speaking] Coining another term as I explore my experience :P
Flightdraconic is a gender that relates to how it feels to be a draconic being while flying. It can relate to the feeling of the wind on one's scales, how the action of flying feels in one's draconic body, or any other variation of experiencing flight while being draconic, be it fluttering around in a meadow or straining against the winds of a storm.
[Neon speaking] its kinda weird to me that the dsm-5 criteria for ptsd requires trauma from physical danger, when we have trauma from a butt load of other shit that just. doesn't count in the eyes of the dsm? its mostly confusing that only physical danger counts to ptsd but everything else is otherwise specified trauma disorder, when the name is post traumatic stress disorder, and traumatic stress can come from so many different things
idk i just wanted to ramble about that cuz it doesn't make sense to me
[Neon speaking] I've acquired many forms since I first showed up a few years ago, but I first showed up in my dragon form, pictured above! Dragons where I came from very often had more than one set of eyes. As for the scar on my face, its something I got when I was a fairly young dragonet, another larger dragon was chasing me out of their territory. Us dragons could speak in various tongues but often when communicating with other dragons we communicated by broadcasting our emotions and ideas to one another via magic. Also, all dragons where I came from were the same sex, which was neither male nor female.
I really love the variety of dragons within the alterhuman community :} it's awesome how we all have so many different colours, builds, behaviours, origins, etc, how 'dragon' encapsulates such a large group of animals!! Dragon friends, if you'd like to share, I'd love to hear about you/your 'type/your identity in a reblog or reply!! ⭐️
[Neon speaking] Drew these for a headmate who showed up when we started playing Project Remix, figured I'd share since there's not a lot of stuff for Project Remix here :P

[Neon speaking] Decided to coin a gender term because I couldn't find one that fit part of my experience!
Swimdraconic is a gender that relates to how it feels to be a draconic being while swimming. It can relate to the feeling of water on one's scales, how the action of swimming feels in one's draconic body, or any other variation of experiencing being in the water while being draconic, be it in a calm pond or strong currents in the ocean.
[Neon speaking] curious, are there any gender identities/terms already coined that pertain to actions? like a gender that's best described by an action, like running, swimming, laying down, or something like that, I haven't seen any yet :o
if not i may coin some terms myself
https://linktr.ee/miragesystemWe're a system, and an adult. We might post every now and then but don't expect anything. Have a lovely day :]
