Sorry if I missed some details, it's early, but...

Just because Dazai didn't constantly beat up Akutagawa doesn't mean he didn't abuse him. Dazai was cruel to another child. Akutagawa was never good enough for Dazai, no matter what he did. This was all such a constant that Akutagawa's sole purpose in life became pleasing/getting some praise from Dazai. Do people not realize how sad that is? And then when Dazai resurfaces with Atsushi, actually praising him and treating him well....

It's the only logical explanation, imo, as to why Akutagawa had such a visceral initial reaction to Atsushi. It's why he hated so strongly. It's also the reason why he abused Kyouka.

This post is NOT justifying Akutagawa's actions, or anyone's really. I'm just saying. I say a screenshot where someone said Dazai didn't abuse Akutagawa, and it got me kinda ranting ngl.

It's also an interpretation I like for his character because it could symbolize how he's chasing after his own downfall. He's constantly trying to get stronger, trying to defeat Atsushi for Dazai's approval despite the toll it takes on his body. He knows he doesn't have long left and even after getting into a coma, he doesn't stop fighting no matter how much it harms his body.

And I just like to draw him with a cigarette cause it looks cool on him.

Either Dazai or Akutagawa wanted to dance but there's one tiny problem...he can't dance and they already got accepted into the dance studio, somehow, but the teacher is thankfully nice, and pair them up with Chuuya, the best dancer in the class besides the teacher in hopes they get better, they know that their relationship will probably end once they get better at the class but what if that doesn't happens? What if they become friends somehow?

As if the fiery redhead will want to maintain a friendship with them though there's no doubt he wouldn't want to be friends with him...
